    １９８４--東京にて音楽活動開始。 青山陽一、大田譲、鈴木秀明と結成したバンド、グランドファーザーズで、ほぼ７年間活動する。グランドファーザーズはナゴム・レコードからシングル1枚リリース、ナゴムのオムニバス・アルバムにも1曲参加し、その後、メトロトロン・レーベルよりアルバムを２枚発表---後に徳間ジャパンからベスト・アルバムが発表---した。バンドは１９９１年に解散。 １９９１--２００２--グランドファーザーズ解散後、 バンドには所属せず、ギタリストとしてアーティストをサポートする活動に移行。平行して密かにソロ活動も行い、書き溜めた曲により２０００年にメトロトロン・レーベルよりソロアルバム、”ヘンリーの憂鬱”を発表する。 ２００２----東京から、故郷、京都に移住。関東と関西を行き来する音楽活動となる。ギタリストとしての活動とともに、ソロ活動も活発となる。 ２００５年--ベスト・アルバム的セルフ・カバー・アルバム、”ウォーターメロン砦-- 品番--MAFW-1001　価格--１、８９０円--税込--。アーティスト名--西村哲也--ティム・ワイノー--”を発表。一人多重録音でなく、初のバンド演奏による録音です。７曲収録。
