母親が音楽教師という環境のもと、幼少からピアノを習い始める。
中学生の頃一度ピアノから離れるが、中学三年生の時に葉加瀬太郎氏率いる’’クライズラー＆カンパニー’’ 、坂本龍一氏が音楽を担当していた映画’’ラストエンペラー’’のサウンドトラック、テレビで流れていたジョージ・ウィンストンの「あこがれ／愛」にいままで聴いてきたクラシック音楽とは違う魅力を見出し本格的に音楽家を志す。

高校時より作曲家の峰村信一、峰村澄子の両氏に作曲を師事。
その後大学においても作曲を専攻。昼はクラシック・現代音楽を中心とした作曲法、オーケストレーションを学ぶ一方、夜はクラブに行くという音楽漬けの生活が始まる。そしてこの頃より音楽制作を本格的に開始。

卒業後ヴァイオリニストの葉加瀬太郎氏と出会いプロの音楽の世界へ。
初めての仕事として「情熱大陸のテーマ」の作曲、アレンジのサポートをする。

1998年に特定のメンバーを持たない自由なミュージック・プロジェクト’’Jazztronik’’としてFlower Recordsより初リリースし2003年6月メジャーデビュー。

野崎良太名義ではピアノの無限の可能性を追求し、音楽が生活の一部に溶け込むような美しい旋律、彼のもっている多様性のある音楽をピアノで表現する作品をリリース。
2009年、箱根彫刻の森美術館開館４０周年を記念しテーマ曲を担当する。

近年は作曲家としても「未来講師めぐる」、「Real Clothes」、「Love Game」といったドラマ音楽、「宮城野」等の映画音楽も手がけ活動の幅をさらに広げている。

Ryota Nozaki

Ryota Nozaki grew up in a musical family, and started playing piano in his early childhood. He was not serious about the piano during middle school, but when he discovered the new styles of classical oriented music like, Taro Hakase's band " 　KRYZLER & KOMPANY", soundtrack of the movie "The Last Emperor" produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto, and hearing George Winston's "Longing/Love" played over the weather forecast on Japanese TV, he suddenly realized that he wanted to become a professional musician.

Ryota started studying music in high school and then enters University to major in Clasical composition. While going to school in the daytime, he begins to go out clubbing at night, which generally started off his career as a DJ.

After his graduation, he met Taro Hakase and jumped into the music industry as a professional musician. His first work was co-composing and arrangements for the famous "Theme from Jyounetsu-Tairiku" with Taro.

In 1998, Ryota starts his own free-form music project "Jazztronik" and releases his first album "Inner Flight" from Flower Records(Japan). By June 2003, he make his first release off a major label with the album "Horizon"(Tokuma Japan Communications / Japan) . By 2009 he has released more than 10 original Albums and still going. His latest album "JTK" was released on the 10th anniversary of his professional career.

Also as a Composer and Producer, Ryota has produced soundtracks for prime time Japanese TV Dramas like "Miraikoushi Meguru", "Real Clothes", "Love game", and Blockbuster Movies like "Miyagino" and many more.

But he has never forgotten his roots. Producing melodies that blends into your life with his piano, while representing his diverse styles of musics and sound by pursuing the possibilities of the instrument. In September 2009, Ryota Nozaki will release his third piano solo album "Bird of Passage"(Knife Edge / Japan) to prove it
