The Rhythm Devils began as the duo of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann and his percussionist partner Mickey Hart. Over the years, they transcended rock and roll drum stereotypes with polyrhythmic explorations of the world of percussion, using an extraordinary variety of instruments and approaches. The aftermath of this collaboration was the larger Rhythm Devils, which have made periodic reappearances over the years.The 2010 version includes Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, Keller Williams (guitar, vocals) on the July tour and Tim Bluhm of the Mother Hips (guitar, vocals) on later dates, Davy Knowles (guitar, vocals), Sikiru Adepoju (talking drum), and Andy Hess (bass). Together, they will take music beyond the horizon to a universe where rhythm is in constant flux and sound has infinite potential. They’ll rock.

Great show at The State Theatre in State College. You guys kicked ass:)
We were at the Sept. 6 show at NLQP in Ohio and MY O MY. You guys were FANTASTIC!!! The first set was MIND BLOWING, the band opened with Scarlet Jam into Fire and the music started out at 150mph and did not slow down until the set break!!! My words cannot describe that set, the second set was a great introduction to some new tunes you and Robert Hunter wrote, and I think what must have been some of Davey Knowles material (i wish you guys would keep him)! I urge all GD fans to go check the Rhythm Devils out. What was so incredible to me was that yes some of these songs are part of the Grateful Dead catalog but they are played in a much different way, the show was a SMOKER, off the charts. Bill and Mickey, you guys most definately have the heart and soul of the beast. Thank you so much for this new , fresh, super hard rocking, perspective on the music I have known and loved for so many years.
