how about books? why isn't there a 'favorite books' section for bands/musicians? isn't that kind of sad? well, i'm the only member of my band, so maybe i'll use this section to write about some books that i like. but then i'll sound even more pretentious than i usually do. so, what to do? how about some random books i like....john cheever's journals. walker percy's 'the moviegoer'. wittgenstein's 'tractatus'. frank herbert's 'dune'. anything by flannery o'connor. dostoevsky's 'the idiot'. anything by f. paul wilson. rudyard kipling's 'the jungle books'. 'the once and future king'. danny gregory 'everyday matters'. david james duncan's 'the brothers k'. anything fun by neil gaiman, especially 'stardust'. legs mcneil 'please kill me'. lawrence wright 'saints and sinners'. bill bryson's 'mother tongue'. bertolt brecht's 'mother courage and her children.' ok, i'll stop there for now.

i had a long and factual and fairly tedious bio up here but it was, well, long and fairly tedious. so now i have this. although at present i don't know what 'this' is, as i haven't actually written 'this'. in writing a bio i'm trying to find that nice balance of self-involvement, pithy self-deprecation, and brevity. which leads me to think that i should just stop here. but i've never been one to err on the side of brevity, so i'll just keep writing. i was born in nyc on september 11, 1965, and now it's 2008 and i still live in nyc. which(living in the same city in which i was born) would be provincial and depressing if nyc didn't happen to be the least provincial and depressing city on the planet. and i'm sort of stuck living in nyc because: a-i don't have a drivers license(we all benefit from this, trust me, i'm a terrible driver). b-most of my friends live here. c-nyc is nice. what else about me...i make records and occasionally go on tour and play concerts. i'm currently signed to mute records, which makes me proud because mute is a great label and i get to call nick cave and goldfrapp and diamanda galas my label-mates. now really is the time when i'm going to force myself to err on the side of relative brevity(my other bio was about 30,000 words). thanks for reading. -moby

So Bill Clinton Speaks tonight, smiles. That should be interesting to see his speech after having seen his wifes last night.
Today has been a very lucrative day here in Florida for me, but I still wish you weren't so busy, so that I could be in my Colorado with you, smooches, but gosh darn it if I was the one that had forgotten my convention ticket, because I surely I would have had to call my police friends to tell them to ask their buddies to not give me a hard time for forgetting something when I'm so madly in love and cannot think straight all the time, because I'm in Cloud 9 and So In Love...Sighs....
About Hillary's suit she wore last night, the color reminds me of a favorite rain jacket that I wore in High School. It was so trendy and I was so proud of it, so flashy, but many people teased me saying they could see me in traffic miles away, so I giggled when I read about your feelings on her outfit, hee hee.
I Miss You, I Love You, now back to work for me,

Moby, you were in my dream last night. I was eating at a restaurant with my family and we were waiting all around the table and having many family discussions involving food. You were waiting on another table, and at some point you came over, introduced yourself, and told me I must speak to your mother, as she is an expert on cabbage. Then my waitress came over and told me I needed to help her pick up the food but she didn't tell me it was on a conveyor belt or how to stop it. So my PHO went on the floor and I was very distraught. You gave me some from your table. It was very kind.

The Denver Pepsi Center is special to me. I saw a touching Sade Lovers Rock Tour Concert there shortly after the September 11th World Attack and everyone there that night were in tears and unity due to the sadness of 9/11 and thus it was a most unforgettable evening.
Sweet dreams tonight there in Denver Love heart. My Spirit is with you.
Im only 18 yrs old but the experimental dance music I create has been causing some buzz around myspace. My tracks sound pretty good for someone who has started in December of 2007 and does it by himself.
