La Mano Fria is a graphic designer, artist, record label owner, DJ, audio hacker, live graphic performer, clothing brand owner, typographer but most important a simple worker.

Son of Colombian and Costa Rican immigrants that fled their country to settle in the urban jungles of NYC in the late 60's, he was born in the 1970's in a mainly South American area of Queens in NYC, then later to migrate to South Florida.

La Mano Fria likes: talking, type, cumbia, fonts, language, photo copy machines, bodegas, lettering, cooking, duct tape (called gum tape in Japan), immigrants, ink, roots reggae, latin protest music, learning, culture, hip hop, infiltrating, paint, house music, old punk rock record jackets, Cuban OSPAAAL posters, pirate radio, wheat paste, quiet walks in the jungle, writing on things, box cutters, techno, stencils, disgruntled artists, printers, electro, beer (ale: stouts, porters abbeys, Trappist, quadrupels, dubbels...) markers, silk screening, cameras, records, spray paint, ocean, beats...

La Mano Fria dislikes: neo-colonialism, Operation Condor, staged controlled demolitions, computers, airports, CIA torture tactics, beets...

Busy. A month full of art exhibitions in Japan! La Mano Fria presents Jibaro Times: La Mano Fria Report 7 (Miami Beer Tour), August 4 - August 16 in Tokyo, Japan! Location is at Uplink Factory in Shibya. (about a 9 minute walk form the JR station)... New elected works from based on . Rice and Beans project: Tokyo & Miami Beer Tour. Over 10 new canvas and beer sign remixes plus 14 new bottles painted. Live performance & talk show by La Mano Fria is on Sunday August 8, with guests Datathief, Jacob & Plastic Echo. And limited edition handmade original beer for sale everyday at the exhibitions. This batch of brew is called Blueprints Ale was made just for the Uplink show together with Iris aka Glyco, with special ingredients such as tamarindo, nutmeg, bay leaves, etc. Check and click the banner below for more info!

Also La Mano Fria at the same setting off the Tokyo Beer Tour art exhibition in Osakayainside Shinjuku JR station, Lumine Est! • COOKING La Mano Fria also has a hand in cooking. A series of instore live which featured La Mano Fria cooking varies dishes, as artists such as Leb Laze, Deviant and Mihara provided the sounds. La Mano Fria's dishes vary from seafood to beef, chicken and even vegetarian with an original mix of beer, Latin spices and other ingredients.
