Born in Yokohama, Japan in 1990. Now DJ KIA is a 3rd year high school student. ...... He was influenced a lot by Daft Punk's funky beats on their album "Discovery", and got abosorbed in Techno music, especially House and Trance. He found tons of great music and cannot help feeling like sharing delight through dance music. Soon he decided to become a DJ and got many supports from his very best friends (telling record shops, giving turn tables and a DJ mixer, teaching how to mix, etc). ...... After 3 years, he met an important person, Kenji. They hit off together as they talked about Trance music and it was not long before they decided to launch Exotica, a Trance party. So far they have organized it for 2 years. ...... In 2007, he send his DJ mix to Pure.FM. Jerry Chiu, a Pure.FM staff, replied favorable message to him. and suggested he start a new program on Pure.FM. He was very glad to hear this good news, and was willing to accept his proposal. The radio show was named "New Style of Trance." It was brodcasted on Pure.FM from 2007 and ended in 2008 (Japanese educational system doesn't allow him to keep on doing DJ: preparations for getting into college). But he calls out, "I'll be back!" ...... 1990年生まれ。10代前半から多くの音楽に触れ、程なくしてDJとしての活動を開始する。弱冠14歳でHedonistの主催するパーティ、"Sublimation"にてデビューした後、青山「蜂」で人気を博していたデイパーティ、"Asterism"にレジデントとして参加、アメリカのネットラジオ局であるPure FMにて月1でラジオショー、"New Style of Trance"をホスティングするなど、若くしてその才能を多方面に認められている。現在はKenji Sekiguchiとともに早稲田茶箱で主催しているパーティ、"Exotica"を中心に活動。独自の美学に基づき、ディープなサウンドを主としながらも躍動感と爽やかさを併せ持ったDJプレイで観客を魅了している。
