Head of Feldman Records, and buyer for Japan's legendary Cisco Record for 10 years, Dubby's 17 year DJ career has seen him perform all over Japan with a host of DJs, such as Prins Thomas and the Idjut boys. Dubby has also released a series of 4 mix CDs on Feldman Records - each one focuses on a different genre and showcases the depth of his sound. Dubby runs the party "Dream Academy", with Flatic from Cos/mes, in Tokyo's club Shelter, a mecca for alternative music with one of Japans finest soundsystems (the club is also the home of Chee Discossessions only regular party). Dubby recently relocated to London, where he is starting a number of new DJ and production projects..... Feldman Records主宰。個人的趣味と、ワン・アンド・オンリーなミックスCDを中心にリリースする傍ら、DJingに没頭。'08年には日本のバレアリック界の異端児Calmの初となるミックスCDをリリースし、更なる注目を集める。今は亡き老舗レコードショップCisco Recordsのバイヤーとして10年の時を経て、海外進出を目論む。現在までに4枚の異色ミックスCDと、CalmのMixCDの計5枚を自身が主宰するレーベルからリリースし、ダンスシーンに異彩を放っている。反骨精神溢れるスタイルと、旺盛な音欲、あらゆるジャンルへのアプローチを得意としながらもワールド/ダブ・ミュージックに色付けられた音のセレクト、はたまたロック/ラテン傾向に向かう姿勢、ディスコにコズミックといった意識への模索からプログレッシヴ/サイケデリックな音に没頭、そしてバレアリックシーンでは一目置かれる存在へと成長した若きベテランが幅広い知識を武器に躍進中。'07年からは都内屈指のサウンドシステムで評判の八王子SHeLTeRにてcos/mesのFLATIC氏と共に毎月第1金曜「DREAM ACADEMY」を主催！現在までにHiroshi Futami、Dr.Nishimura(Discossession)、Chee Shimizu(Discossession)、Moroi、Hikaru(Blasthead)、Taro Akiyama(Sleeping Bugz)、Chida(Dancaholic)、5ive(cos/mes)、Tsuruoka(TURBOSONIC)、Kinka(acca/Key Of Knowledge/MONKA)、Calm(Music Conception)をゲスト召集。 .......... 第4弾ミックスCD「DREAM ACADEMY」！.. 八王子SHeLTeRのサウンドシステムを最大限に伝える為、ライヴミックス録音後のマスタリングはしていません。レコード特有のチリノイズはそのまま収録されています。王道のバレアリック作品から、私的に発掘したバレアリック作品まで！快いポップかつ爽快な前半から、ズッポリ深い所までナヴィゲーションしてくれる後半へと...。イメージ的には晴天のビーチに向けたPM2:00--PM7:00。 .......... 第3弾ミックスCD「ALTERNATIVE ROUTE」！.. 音楽の解釈は人それぞれ、自分なりに突き詰めたロック・ディスコの解釈です。インディー・ダンス/マンチェスター・ムーヴメントの時代を体感していない男が想像したマッド・チェスター！勿論ライヴ・ミックス一発録り！ .......... 第2弾ミックスCD「CASE OF DUB」！.. NORMAN COOK先生のような明るくてお惚けなスタイルが好きです。名画「TAXI DRIVER」とかけあって、勝手な創造物を作ってみました。世界中の誰もが1度は通る事になるだろう...レゲエ・ミュージックを、世界中のクリエーターがジャンルの垣根を越えてアレンジした作品をライヴ・ミックス！知ってる曲とか知らない曲とか、そんなの関係なくて、やっぱりグルーヴ感のあるものに人は引き寄せられて行くんだな--と思いました。 .......... 第1弾ミックスCD「MUNDO LATINO」！.. ラテンの暑苦しいサウンドはいつも心をホットにさせてくれる。ギンギンに鳴り響くスパニッシュ・ギターの騒々しさは、主婦の日常の忙しさと一緒だ。足早に駆け抜けるリズムに無性な楽しさを憶えて、ホッと一息...、も束の間、慌しい朝はまだまだ続く。生音のライヴ・ミックスの大変さを痛感しました。
