"Sleepin' Sheep", also you can listen and purchase by"Apple iTunes Music Store", is the first album released by a saxophonist/composer Yosuke Kurita. This album contains nine original compositions and they were all created on a concept, "Love songs for the Earth." Two sessions were recorded. He prepared two rhythm sections in order to bring out many essences of music such as; swing, funk, samba, Brazilian music, acoustic music, and ECM. This has been featured in various publications including Jazz Life Magazine, Swing Journal, Jazz Hihyou and Jazzyell. The fact that the first issue of this album has been sold out proves its high quality of music.

"Emotional SAX player", Yosuke Kurita started playing electric organ at the age of 4 and began playing the sax when he was 13. He saw the immense possibility in the saxophone and decided to pursue a career in music at the age of 20. As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, he studied with Walter Beasley, George Garzone, Ted Pease, Steve Rochinski and Fernando Brandao. Ever since he moved to Kyoto, Japan in 2004, he has been performing widely in Japan.

栗田洋輔　(くりた ようすけ) - Tenor & Soprano Sax
『情熱』と『癒し』を合言葉に 進化し続けるJAZZを綴る

生粋の音楽家系に生まれ、４歳でエレクトーンを、１３歳でサックスを始め、２０歳でプロ奏者となる。

同志社大学軽音楽部に所属し、自ら率いるビッグバンドが全国大会で２年連続優秀賞、個人の部でも優秀ソリスト賞を獲得。関西学生選抜バンドではリーダーを務めるなど通算８度選出。同部引退後もジャズに留まらない広い音楽性でロック・ラテンのグループでも全国ツアーに参加、ジャズフェスの企画運営や作・編曲家としても幅広い活動を展開。

語学留学を経てバークリー音楽院に奨学生として入学、サックスや作編曲等を G・ガゾーン、T・ピース、S・ロシンスキ氏らに、スピリットをW・ビーズリー、小曽根真氏らより学ぶ。在学中はアメリカを本拠地として演奏活動を行うほか、参加フラメンコアルバムが世界盤になるなどジャンルを越えた音楽家達と交流・演奏を重ねる。

2004年同音大を卒業し帰国。翌年にはファースト・アルバム "Sleepin' Sheep"(JETS-1001;Apple iTunes Music Storeにて好評配信中)をリリース。JazzLife誌等にて中抜きで紹介されると話題を呼び僅か一年で完売。現在東京エリア・京阪神エリアを拠点に精力的に活動を繰り広げている。
