大和川レコード(アサダワタル)

1979年大阪出身。
日常と表現のスキマを行き交う様々な活動を行うシンガーソングライター、ドラマー、ビデオパフォーマー、アートプロジェクトディレクター。

弾き語りをメインに、バンドでの打楽器演奏、サウンドスケイプやビデオを使ったパフォーマンスなど、様々な形態で作品を発表。
同時にアートスペースの運営やインターネットラジオの発信なども積極的に行うなど、枠に収まらない独自の活動を展開している。

90年代後半よりドラマーとしてバンド活動、「越後屋」(NOISE McCARTNEY RECORDS)というバンドで、くるりのレーベルから2枚のCDリリース。
01年からコツコツ作り溜めた曲でソロ活動「大和川レコード」開始。 アシッドフォークな弾き語り、サウンドスケイプ meets the フォーク！を基本姿勢とし、ラジカセやメトロノーム、ドラムソロ、サウンドスケイプやビデオを使ったパフォーマンスなどを行う。
02年より電子音響ユニット「SamuraiJazz」(cubic music)、
03年、梅田哲也氏らとサイトスペシフィックユニット「大雪渓」
(siranami)などに参加し、国内外で作品を発表する。
05年に、大和川レコード初のソロアルバム「選び採取れた日常」(mixedmedia toka軸)を全国リリース。
06年以降、自身がディレクションを務める大阪市港区のアートスペース「築港ARC」の活動と平行して、相変わらず雑多な表現活動を展開中。

【Profile】

YamatogawaRecord(WataruAsada)

"YamatogawaRecord" is WataruAsada(sound/video artist)’s solo project.
He was born in 1979 in Osaka Japan.
From the latter half of ’90,he started his art activities.

His basic concept or art is "re-editing the daily life".
He is interested in "the border between daily(everyday or life) acts and art activities".
And he also searches for "the connection between society(the community) and art"

He has created the various types of art works,
for example – singing,drumming,videoperformance,a regional art project,management for art NPO and so on.

He presents his works in underground music scene, contemporary art,video art, and so on.
Moreover as a drummer who is good at improvising,he participates in some groups(for example “Echigoya(NOISE McCARTNEY RECORDS)”,”SamuraiJazz(cubic music)”,”Daisekkei(siranami)”and so on) which has released CD works in Japan and all over the world.
And he also makes a lot of collaborative works with many artists - a vieo artsits,a dancers,a musicians,a painters,a poets,and so on.
