SUNRISE HIGHWAY.....Check out these all new mixes of some wonderful songs. Here is a preview of the new SUNRISE HIGHWAY release which will be out soon enough. For those who share in the joy that a great pop song can bring. Formerly known as NEO and The Sunshine Boys we are finally named SUNRISE HIGHWAY. I grew up five blocks from the actual Sunrise Highway in Long Island NY. And it is literally a highway to the sunrise. We are on a mission to bring and keep this sound fresh and vibrant. Influenced by the best sounds, Carole King, Pet Sounds/Surfs Up era Beach Boys, Beatles, Todd Rundgren’s wonderful “Something Anything,” Byrds, The Lovin’ Spoonfuls infectious good vibes or Mama and Papa harmonies. there is a timelessness and emotion to this sound that really resonates in many of us. How about you? You can still find NEO downloads at CDbaby and Itunes etc. A SUNRIES HIGHWAY release of all new tunes will be available soon. Gary(RC Flyer) Feldman who I co founded the legendary Radio City with plays bass on several tracks and co wrote “Just Friends”. Lead Vocals are handled by the wonderous Greg Aaron Schlotthauer. Keyboard and bass wizard Steve Unger who also played in Radio City who sings and co wrote the great Radio City tune “Don’t Mistake Love” adds keyboards, bass, vocals and helped with the writing and arranging. The great John DiGiulio on drums and percussion. Bass wonderman Shawn Byrns also played bass on a few choice cuts. I, Marc Silvert) write, sing, engineer and play all the guitars and a bit of everything else. ........ .......... ........

MUSIC REVIEWS: (AUGUST 2004 EAR CANDY EZINE) NEO,"NEO" (Sleeping City Music) I don't know how many members there are in NEO or what their background is, but where in the hell have they been hiding? In the same league as Jellyfish and the Wondermints, NEO weaves a timeless string of perfect pop songs that is guaranteed to satiate the most hardened pop junky. Although you can detect influences of Revolver-era Beatles, Brian Wilson and even Burt Bacharach - NEO doesn't wear their influences on their paisley-colored sleeves. Its rare for a band to capture a mood or a feel of a time in music without you being able to say, "that sounds like…" NEO are original in that they reinvent classic pop to make it sound fresh. This CD gets the reward for the years most repeatable-play CD in my player. Hell, I even wore out one CD player recently and I'm pretty sure that this CD contributed! . (SHINDIG MAGAZINE SEPT 2004 NEO) Like The Wondermints NEO’s youthful Carl Wilson/Gerry Love vocals and fine scope in sunshine pop and breezy early ‘70s FM radio soundalikes offer the listener an array of timeless pop sensibilities, wonderfully played and sung. The sometimes-sterile-synth production may distract from being able to become fully immersed in the ornate pseudo-orchestrations, but when left to the basic necessities of jangling guitars and great harmonies, it’s sublime. Real good.Jon ‘Mojo’ Mills. (THE NEXT BIG THING AUG 2004) A NY-based project of Marc Silvert who was in The Revelons, responsible for the timeless (The Way You Touch) My Hand - as popularized by those Nomads. Anyways, not only is it a trip for Beach Boys enthusiasts, it also sounds like Todd Rundgren playing cream of Glasgow pop with a little TFC and a lot of Pearlfisherisms in there. Buy this one via CD Baby or contact Marc directly at thyrdeye@msn.com to score a copy (NOT LAME 2003) CD-R of some seriously Brian Wilson/Wondermints inspired sunshine pop! Think those bands, Lovin' Spoonful, Tony Rivers, The Association and The Cyrkle. Lovely, lilting melodies glide smoothly, crisply over gentle Mama and Papas, Turtles inspired melodies. Neo is a project from Marc Silvert, who was in the early 80's NYC band, The Revelons and worked with faves from that era Radio City and Buddy Love. But here, we have harmonies galore, brightening any room that plays this gem. A must for pretty much any fan of any of the bands mentioned above. Very Highly Recommended!
