50 Cent and Oprah Winfrey seem like an unlikely duo but last night the two of them, who have admittedly had a contentious relationship in the past, hugged and made up to each other on Winfrey’s “Next Chapter.”

The interview took place in 50 Cent’s grandparents’ house where they discussed the rapper’s childhood, family life and his goal to try to feed 1 billion starving humans through his Street King movement. “This is a milestone for me, just being in your presence and on the show,” he explained.

Their relationship goes back to Oprah’s criticism of 50 Cent’s lyrics which she claimed was too laden with profanity and marginalized women, however 50 took these comments personally. “I would see moments where you would discuss your feelings on the culture, and everything that was wrong with the culture was on my CD,” 50 explained, “and I was like, ‘She doesn’t like me.’”
