Summer movie fever is getting ready to go into overdrive, and we’ve got six new “Battleship” clips to prove it. We’re seeing quite a bit of the action in these clips now, along with more of the actual aliens. While we’re excited to see this awesomeness, we just hope there’s still plenty of awesome left in the movie when we head to the theaters. Check ‘em out and see what you think.

In the first clip, Admiral Shame (Liam Neeson) expresses his opinion about Hopper (Taylor Kitsch) wasting his potential. Apparently the Admiral’s daughter sees something in Hopper that he doesn’t see.

In the next clip we get to see the alien attack on Hong Kong. Obviously, it’s mass destruction from the word go as the unsuspecting city is pummeled by the aliens.

In the third clip we see Hopper investigating something strange in the water. Apparently the aliens are ready to make themselves known. It looks like the Naval training session is over, and the battle for planet Earth is about to begin.

Next, cue up some heroic one-on-one action as Lt. Col Mick Canales (Gregory D. Gadson) goes ballistic on an ugly alien in defense of Samantha (Brooklyn Decker). Did I mention these aliens are seriously ugly?

Don’t look now, but it’s time for the aliens to strike again. This time their target is the marine base. The rotating fire balls (now called shredders) are launched from the giant ocean obelisk and wreak some impressive damage.

Finally, we get to do a little target practice of our own. In this last clip we see Raikes (Rihanna) taking aim at one of the aliens aboard the battleship with one of the big guns on the main deck. If this is what it takes to kill these guys, it looks like we might be in big trouble. “Battleship” opens May 18th, 2012. What do you think?
