Kanye West has offered up a few details on the movie he’s making as the companion to his new album. West spoke with New York Magazine’s Fug Girls at the Rodarte fashion week show yesterday and offered some new information about his film as well as some choice quips about fashion. The movie is titled Runaway and is a 40-minute long film-noir based on his new album. And based on West’s description, it sounds amazing.

“It’s the story of a phoenix fallen to Earth, and I make her my girlfriend, and people discriminate against her and eventually she has to burn herself alive and go back to her world,” West said. “I’ve been feeling the idea of the phoenix. It’s been in my heart for a while. It’s maybe parallel to my career. I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person.”

Let’s just give this man the Best Picture Oscar right now. West also added that he’s been lacking on his usual prolific Twitter action because he’s been working on the film. “I haven’t tweeted much in the past couple days because I’ve got so much to work on,” he said. “I’m color-correcting this film I shot in Prague a couple weeks ago.”

A few photos from that film shoot in Prague leaked a few weeks ago. You can see those here. Still no word on when this masterpiece will be released
