The following year he returned to claim the Battle Title and followed it up the next year with an unprecedented 2nd consecutive victory... Representing Japan at the DMC World Championships in London, he swept the crowd and judges away earning him the title DJ Battle World Champion... He then set his sights on the highly coveted prize in the Single Category... In 2008 he beat out his competition in Japan's DMC Final and went on to claim 3rd prize at that year's DMC World Championships... History repeated itself and in 2009 DJ CO-MA took the title at in Japan, advancing again to the World Championships where he came in second, only 5 points shy of the title... At the IDA World Championships in Poland, he was the first Asian to become World Champion...
