Estimados amigos,
El próximo día 10 de diciembre abrimos la nueva Virtual Drummer School. La VDS lleva más de 7 años online, y durante este tiempo hemos recorrido un largo camino, donde hemos aprendido de cuál era y qué posibilidades tenía este curioso mundo virtual, que es Internet. Como en cualquier nuevo proyecto, han sido años de alegrías y dificultades, donde también la tecnología ha mejorado y nos ha permitido desarrollar esta nueva web, con mucha más calidad.
Este ha sido un gran esfuerzo en el que han colaborado muchas personas con toda su energía, para intentar de dar forma a este gran sueño que es la VDS. Pero sin duda vuestro apoyo, con vuestros emails, preguntando, aconsejando, con mil ideas de cómo os gustaría que fuera la VDS, nos ha sido de gran ayuda para dar este gran paso adelante.
Hemos superado los 50.000 registrados y creemos que el mejor regalo que os podíamos hacer es esta nueva web; a todos los que habéis creído en nuestras ideas, y por qué no decirlo, a todos los que, con vuestra desconfianza, nos habéis obligado a ser mucho más exigentes. Para todos vosotros hemos desarrollado esta web, con multitud de nuevas áreas, de gran interés para los bateristas y percusionistas. Donde vosotros sois los protagonistas, donde podréis participar día a día, donde entre otras cosas, podréis mostrar a toda la comunidad vuestros trabajos.
Además, todo ello en inglés y español y adaptaciones a idiomas como el: Portugués, Chino, Árabe, Ruso, Japonés, Alemán, Francés y Catalán, para que el idioma no sea una barrera para muchos de los visitantes de más de 120 países.
Queremos seguir creciendo y aprendiendo de todos vosotros día a día.

Opening of the new Virtual Drummer School
Dear friends,
On December 10 we will open the new Virtual Drummer School. VDS has been online for more than 7 years, and during this time we have come a long way, learning all about the possibilities of this curious virtual world we call the Internet. As with any new project, these have been years filled with ups and downs, in which more advanced technology has enabled us to develop this new and greatly improved website.
Many people have put all of their energy and dedication into the immense collaborative effort of trying to shape this great dream that is VDS. But undoubtedly, your support, with all of your emails, in which you asked questions and gave advice, with thousands of ideas on how you would like to see the Virtual Drummer School, has helped us tremendously in taking this huge step forward.
We have surpassed 50,000 registered members, and we believe that the best gift we could give to all of you is this new website: to all of you who believed in our ideas, and -let's be honest- to all of you who voiced your disapproval and, consequently, compelled us to be much more rigorous. We have developed this website for all of you, with numerous new areas of great interest to drummers and percussionists. You are the main protagonists of this new site, where you can participate daily, and among other things, where you can showcase your work to the entire VDS community.
In addition, the entire webpage is offered in English and Spanish, with automatic translations to languages such as: Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, German, French, and Catalan, in the hopes that language will not be a barrier for the great number of visitors we receive from 120 countries.
We vow to continue growing and learning from all of you day to day.
