The Upland Music and Arts Festival Battle of the Bands takes place from September to November 2009. The Scene: Downtown Upland The Goods: Opening slot for a national recording artist, gift certificates, gear and CD recording time Bands will be selected by votes (we want to make sure the band that takes the opening slot has a following) and by industry professional judges. Other finalists will get to play in the festival too. .... -

The Battle of the Bands gives local and regional based bands a venue for exposure. It's a platform that helps undiscovered bands to gain popularity and momentum that can help launch them into a more established position in the music industry. -
