  • Adventures from Down Under!

    Oi oi everybody!

    We just came back from a fantastic trip to New Zealand and Australia. We were blown away by the positive spirit of the aussies and kiwis we met. We are spoiled to be met with so much love, thank you so much. We truly and honestly appreciate it more than you know.

    We went to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland. In all these cities the food was so delicious, we've never eaten better food in our lives. The nature was spectacular, although we regret that we did not see any kangaroos, koalas or kiwi birds (just plenty of statues). Maybe next time?

    This was the closest we came to petting a kangaroo, at Brisbane Festival in Brisbane where we got the honor to perform in the beautiful Spiegeltent.


    When we came to Australia we didn't have a drummer with us and we intended to perform as a duo. However, our tour manager Dale surprised us with his awesome drumming skills and became our Australian drummer. Big thank you to Mr. Pakard, you is amazing and your Swedish accent is hilarious (the way you say "asså chilla" especially.

    During our shows in Oz we premiered a new song, which currently is untitled. Some folks gave their suggestions and now we have a list of them. Please vote for your favorite!

    We're the Bananas in Pyjamas at ABC in Melbourne. We watched this show all the time when we were kids, we had no idea it was from Australia. How cool!



    Look at that fish!! We went deep sea fishing in Leigh, Auckland and we caught two huuge Barracudas.


    Once again, thank you everybody who made this trip possible. We really really hope that we can come back soon, because we love down under so much!

    Now excuse us, but we have to go and rehearse for our US tour! Woho!

        Good to hear you enjoyed yourselves! I'm glad I got the chance to see you play the Spiegeltent in Brisbane, it was a great show!

        After going through my vids I was trying to remember if you'd mentioned if this song was a cover or an orginal. It really came across as one of those timeless classic beautiful songs so I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was a new one.

        As for the title it *has* to be Bitter Winds. It contrasts nicely with the warm snuggly emotion the song gives you whilst simulatenously accentuating that feeling!

        I was lucky enough to see you guys at your second Brisbane gig, the one who got an autograph for a friend with a broken leg :) for her birthday which she loved by the way , and I have one small request PLEASE don't call your untitled song Steve. The girl who got up on stage kept shouting in from right next to me and it would always remind me of her annoying presence. I think Bitter Winds is a lovely name.
        Can't wait to see what you guys release next its always a beautiful adventure and we would love you back 'down under' any time you like :)

  • "Ghost Town" Video and Single!

    Hello dear friends of the internet,

    First off, we're excited today to announce the next single and video off "The Big Black & The Blue" will be "Ghost Town".  "Ghost Town" is very dear to us and singing this song at our shows is always a highlight for us. We can honestly say that we are happy with its music video, the director Mats Udd and his crew did a fantastic job and really captured the spirit of the song. We filmed it during a beautiful summer's day at a wheat field and a meadow in Stockholm. It's inspired by "Picnic At Hanging Rock" among other things. The shooting was a lot of fun, but we got over 100 mosquito bites each (!!). However, it's all for the art, right?

    Ghost Town Video

    Secondly, the b-side of the "Ghost Town" single is our cover of Fever Ray's "When I Grow Up". This song is so beautiful and haunting and we tried to capture the beauty of it. A tribute to our mentor Frau Rabid. We hope you like it.  The single will be released the 28th of September digitally, and a limited edition 7" will be available through our  and for sale on tour.  

    Lastly, we're getting ready for our next US tour which we truly are looking forward too. We're lucky enough to have Ferraby Lionheart on the entire tour, Sea of Cortez as a special guest in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, and more to be announced very soon - we cant wait to hear everyone!
