The Hacks first started at the end of 2007 as a three piece known as the Static Fuses, three school-yard mates. In mid 2008 the Fuses added a rhythm guitarist, making, the practice sessions more fun, by the increase of guitar hero, youtube mario brothers breaks. During the course of 2009 the four-piece group started playing shows and started making small media appearances. At the end of 2009, the group refined, lost two members and picked up a new band name, however the Filthy Hacks as they were then-on known as included a good friend as their new drummer -
