Bio
...... The Postage Era was an experimental post-punk band from Hillsborough, New Jersey. Formed as a trio in 1997, The Postage Era soon became a quartet with Corinne Chase on bass and Dustin Packard moving to rhythm guitar and lead vocals. After several months of recording and playing out, Corrine Chase left the band and was replaced by bassist/vocalist Jeff Ogiba. At this time the band's emo and pop sound became more aggressive and dark. This is evident in the final tracks of the band's demo Par Avion. In 1999 the band rehired Corinne Chase as keyboardist and went out on their first tour of the east coast. On the 3rd show they were picked up by Action Driver Records of Charleston West Virginia. In 2001, Action Driver re-released Par Avion and would go on to release two full lengths Fatal Autopsy and their critically acclaimed self-titled swan song. The band continued to tour extensively and became known internationally for their deep poetic lyrics, creative soundscapes, and intense live performances. During their final recordings at Inner Ear Studios in Alexandria Virginia, the band fought over creative aspects of their final album and called it quits. -
