Every day was a new beginning,
trying to begin again
In thinking of you and yesterday,
the last time our hearts did touch

As to why I found I had to leave,
each prayer to God, an understanding
But unknown, if it was a prayer,
a prayer, to in my heart believe

When we crossed the threshold long ago,
on our journey of north to south
Seeking a momentum, a time of silence,
the loyalty of forgiving, yet to go without

This in a struggle to enchant your love,
because your commitment was not as strong
Of this day of being without,
without your hand, to hold, once again
