新川忠（シンカワ・タダシ） 1977年東京生まれ。シンガーソングライター。2003年、音楽評論家、高橋健太郎の主催するインディーレーベルMemory Labより、1stアルバム「sweet hereafter」を発表。50～60年代のイージーリスニングを思わせるノスタルジックな味わいに満ちた本作は、評論家やコアな音楽ファンから高い評価を受ける。同年、シンガーソングライター、湯川潮音のアルバム「うたのかたち」のレコーディングに参加。収録曲「あのこのうた」の作、編曲、演奏を手がける。 2005年、2ndアルバム「Christy」を発表。ヴィンセント・ギャロやヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドに影響を受けた本作では、前作よりも暗く、より感傷的な世界観を展開。このアルバムにインスパイアされた大阪在住のギャラリーオーナー／アーティストの吉田航と、写真展「Thinking about christy exhibition」を開催。 2006年8月からソロアーティストとしての活動を休止していたが、今回myspaceで3年ぶりに作品を発表。作風は、自身が少年時代を過ごした80年代のポップスへのオマージュとなっている。 ********************************* Tadashi Shinkawa Born in Tokyo in 1977. Singer-songwriter. In 2003, he released his first album "sweet hereafter" through an indie label Memory Lab, which is led by a music critic, Kentaro Takahashi. The album creates nostalgia for the easy listening music style of 50-60's, and was highly regarded by critics and true music lovers. In the same year, he participated in the recording of the album "Uta no katachi" by singer-songwriter Shione Yukawa - composing, arranging and performing on the song "Anoko no uta." In 2005, he released his second album "Christy." The album shows the influence of Vincent Gallo and Velvet Underground, and is darker than the last work, developing a sentimental interpretation of the world. He held an exhibition of photographs titled "Thinking About Christy exhibition" with the help of Osaka-based gallery owner and artist Koh Yoshida, who was inspired by this album. He had been taking a break from being a solo artist since August 2006, but after three years, he has decided to launch his new work on Myspace. His new work is an homage to the pops music of the 80's in which he spend his childhood.
