Im in my mid-20's two blocks from the sea in the neighborhood of 'PB' aprox. 7 miles NW of downtown San Diego. I love where I live although I am proud to originally hail from western Wisconsin, and would be lying if I said I did not frequently miss the people, cheese, good brew, and slower pace of my homeland.
Currently finishing up my MBA with an emphasis in GIS - yep, I know where shit is in the world and i like maps. that sums it up. Now just trying not to sabatage myself in the process of getting a 'real job' while still a lil hesitant to become a corporate zombie.
If it was up to me I would move to a new locale every 6-8 weeks or so. I thrive in new environments and love to learn about different and unique cultures and people. So far I've been fortunate to travel to Germany, Belize, Guatemala, and all over South Africa and am a true believer in a global society. I want to go back to Africa someday; such an intriguing place of paradoxes.
Love excitement and new experiences. Work out like a madman when my heads on straight. ...thats enough for now...Contact me for more info!Music
I consider my taste in music to be very Diverse. In fact, I discover most new music while listening to SiriusXM Satellite Radio, as they tend to play unreleased and deep tracks not yet in circulation. And Frankly I've had my dial stuck on the SiriusXMu station the most lately. XMU plays indy/college rock and has improved dramatically since its debut, and is how I was introduced to 2 uniquely talented artists I'm currently digging - Tanlines and Toro y Moi. Tanlines's sound is one best described as a fusion of 80'sPop & Reggaeton percussion to create a unique sound all their own. Listen to one of their track with my Music Player if you can, these guys are somethin else! Also been Listening to alot of electronica/progressive again. While no stranger tothe genre, I've also gotta be in the mood for it. Techno is Essential when it comes to motivational work out tunes and a runner's best friend as well. Other tunes I just can't seem to shake is the newly released Pretty Lights Remixes (vs. Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, etc.) out of my head; these guys keep coming out with mind-blowing mashups & give em all away for free online at www.prettylightsmusic.com! I never really cared for the Swedish Dubstep Dj duo Dada Life til I saw ;em live this summer, which is a testament to the power of live music. BT is always legit and proves himself again with his Hot new track w/ Armin Van Buren, 'Virtual Friend.' And then there's Robert Miles. In the mid-late '90's Robert Miles released his masterpiece album entitled "Fable, after the title track of the classically-infused electro album brilliantly blending the piano with digital sounds. Unfortunately Miles' follow-up album was marked by a drastic change in his music style, leaving many wondering if the musical genius had overdone his creative excess and lost his mind...yeah, it was that bad. Trippy as all hell, don't get me wrong, but it would be more accurately described as 'collection of sounds, ' vs. music... . . Enough about techno.... Also listen to alot alt rock & have become fond of some common and rather obscure artists like the new Strokes album, Holy Ghost!, Neon Indian, JJ N^2, Thievery Corp., Pinback, Chromeo, Broken Bells, 311, Slightly Stoopid, Tea Leaf Green, John Butler Trio, Boombox, etc... Can't forget my roots and the underground hiphop sound outta Minneapolis I grew up with. More of a movement than a sound, Atmosphere & fellow Rhymesayers Brother Ali, and the late Eyedea spit witty, razor-sharp lyrics with ease - and they actually rapped about places I could relate to, like Mpls's Lake Calhoun instead of Purple Drank & Lambos. While living in Milwaukee, WI I was introduced to similar sounding 'underground' hiphop group from Madison who called themselves The Crest and soon became a big fan. Last saw them playing for free on someones' front porch in 2004 at Madison's infamous Mifflin St. Block Party and was certain they would make it big before Atmosphere. To my knowledge they never blew up but signed with Rhymesayers record label and its been close to 5 years since their last album dropped.' Last I heard still touring the midwest tho. ... Rock & Metal. I haven't disowned Metallica like some and still enjoy their old stuff if im about to lift or rampage; Boston's "more than a feeling, " & "foreplay/long time" are two of my favorite tunes of all time. Pink Floyd and Zepplin of course...also enjoy Celtic music, smooth jazz, reggae, ska, and almost anything live......that is except for country.Movies

About me:
27 yrs in this world currently living seaside but grew up a world away in the corn country of Western Wisconsin. In the last 5 years I've lived in cities bordering both Canada and now Mexico; Int'l Falls, MN & San Diego, CA to be exact. I'm the father of an amazing 1 yr. old old boy Brayden who inspires me. Almost at the 2 yr mark for grad school with the finish line finally in sight for the MBA I've been pursuing. Def ready to chill on academia and move on to whatever new challenges may lie ahead.Who I'd like to meet:
Open to connecting with Positive people who enjoy being outside, sports of any kind, good beer, good wine, good music, and especially if you happen to be intrigued by the prospect of traveling to interesting, exotic, and potentially dangerous global destinations.
