Bio:

Synesthesia is a band formed in Chesapeake, Virginia in early 2009 by founding members Mark Flyge (Guitar, VIII Fraud), Sean Hanlon (Bass, Conflict of Interest/ Epoxy), and Michael Gotte (Drums, VIII Fraud). After about 3 months of jamming, Sean asked long time friend and former bandmate Kirk Ferguson (Keyboardist Conflict of Interest/ Madd Hatter) to come out and help fill in the gaps which ultimately solidified the core of the band. After a year of trying out singers, and getting nowhere they were close to throwing in the towel. Feeling the sense of urgency from the band, Matt Williams, friend and former bass player from the band VIII FRAUD, stepped into the vacant role as singer. In Spring 2010, Synesthesia added childhood friends/former band members John Clair (Vocals, Deguello) and Clint Smith (Guitar, Conflict of Interest) thus completing the bands line up. Synesthesia has a wide range of musical influences ranging from Prog Rock to Jazz, and Deathmetal making there style of music hard to pin down to a specific genre.Mark,Mike,Matt formed VIII Fraud from Va Beach in 1997 playing clubs around the Hampton Roads area then moved to San Diego CA in 99 for 7 years,Playing coast to coast gaining fans all over and even appeared on Battle for Ozzfest. Kirk,Sean,Clint formed Conflict of Interest in 2002 building a strong fanbase around Hampton Roads area,evening winning Best Band in Hampton Roads in 2006, and even playing shows all over the eastcoast. John was the former singer of Franklin Va death metal band Deguello that formed in 1999,playing all around Va getting known as one of the areas best death metal bands. Sean also played in Norfolk based band Epoxy who was spouncerd by Yagermeister and Redbull and was known as one of Hamptons Roads most popular metal bands for over a decade.
