New Message from Susan
Last Monday 15th March was a great day. I flew to London to have a meeting with my record label, Syco.
We had lunch together first of all and then my A&R man introduced me to a songwriting team. I spent some time with them at the home of one of the writers. It was great. They were very nice people. We talked about possible song ideas for my next album. It was a very unusual thing for me to do, to be there at the start of an idea, talking about my thoughts and feelings for potential songs! It will be very interesting to see what develops. We shall see.
I am really looking forward to going back into the recording studio. It is where it all really started for me. I remember when I first went into Steve Mac’s studio and saw all his gold and platinum discs for record sales of other artists. I was both daunted and impressed! That seems like such a short time ago and now I am planning my second album.
When I first started recording in London it immediately felt like a very comfortable environment. Now I enjoy all aspects of my career. I have really enjoyed wearing the beautiful clothes, doing photo shoots. And now that I know what to expect I also enjoy the interviews and performances for TV shows. I have been to so many countries and I really get quite excited about the travel these days. I have been to France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, America, Japan…so many places. Next weekend I am going to Japan for a second time and I can’t wait. The Japanese people are so lovely and polite and kind. I am going to be performing live with an orchestra which will be fantastic!
There is also talk of going to Australia as well – at the end of April. I won’t believe it until I am on the way! I am so excited about it. A year ago I could never have dreamed that I would be travelling to other side of the globe.
In each place I have been fortunate to have met the most wonderful, kind people. I am told there will be a large group of people travelling to Japan to watch me perform. I will see you all there!youtube
As always, I want to thank everyone for their continued support, for the sentiments you send me in letters and emails and for the lovely comments I receive from people wherever I am – whether it be in Japan or Blackburn when I am doing my shopping.

hey Susan James fisher again. i watched your Australian 60 mins interview and i am so happy that all your dreams are coming true. im pleased you are coming to oz as i would like to go to one of your shows your music is so true to the feelings i have regarding white hill view! anyways if you want a friendly face away from the crowds id be more than happy to have a cup of tea.

Isnt life odd? You are living a normal life in relative obscurity, then one day WHAM! International sensation and record-setting performer! Your story is amazing, and none of it would have happened if you had not had the nerve to put yourself on the BGT stage! It has been fun watching good things come your way, and I am sure people will continue to enjoy your work. It looks like longevity runs in your family, so you may have 50 more years to go! Do it as long as it is fun for you, then sit back and enjoy the momories, and feel good that you have had a positive influence on a whole lot of folks all over the planet!

Oh Susan...Australia? oh my! I hope one day I will be able to travil there. That has been one of my dreams since I was a little girl. I don't know why... it just has. I love your music and look forward to purchasing your second album. I am a single mother of two adult children and a grandmother of three adorable little angels. You are beautiful inside as you are on the outside. Your beautiful voice and music is a gift and a blessing to all who hears you. May God continue to bless you and keep you in his care. hey susan if your lookin for somewhere to stay in oz id be happy to recommend a few places. i stay in byron area and there is a lovely wee scottish town called maclane its northern rivers nsw its really special its a home away from home. anyways i hope you have fun.

Susan's Apperance on Sports Relief
..
To date, Sport relief has raised well over three and half million pounds. Susan is proud to have been a part of it:

SUSAN TO APPEAR ON SPORT RELIEF THIS FRIDAY
..Susan will be appearing on Sport Relief this Friday evening. She will be singing Wild Horses. Her performance time will be at approximately 22.50.
Sport Relief runs once every two years alternately with Comic Relief. This year it runs from Friday 19th – Sunday 21st March. Sport Relief raises money to help poor and vulnerable people both at home and in other countries. Susan is proud to be a part of this year’s television fundraiser. “It is a privilege to be able to a be a part of this, to be a part of something which helps other people. This year’s show is full of innovative and wonderful things – from the very moving to the very funny. And it brings people together in a bid to help others who may be less fortunate than themselves.”
