Biography

Speech Defect concist of two MC's and one Dj. Boogie B (MC), Mr Linus (Producer/MC) and Dj Ego (Dj). Over the years Speech Defect has successfully toured Japan, USA and Europe. In Japan their last record awarded them a number one spot at HMV Japan's top list of hip-hop. Speech Defect's live performances have developed into a sweaty frenzy including undertakers, spacemen and nervous monkeys in three-piece suits on stage. Speech Defect does hip-hop as it's supposed to be done – house party style. Now strengthened by Dj Ego, Swedish DMC champion 2007 and recently number 4 in the world, shit is even more live!


Comparisons to Beastie Boys and The Pharcyde are cool, but these boys are on another tip. It's old to the new, new to the old. And lots of wine. This spring Speech Defect released their third album Happy Hunting. Hard rhymes, raw bass lines and Egyptian Lover synthesizers – Happy Hunting shoots disco balls at your feet with one single commandment ¬– dance!
