We just put our newest song up on the player - Red Roto! Please have a listen and let us know what you think!!!! This is the first song we've done where we've utilized Logic Pro entirely and we are very happy with how it turned out.
Stu explains his naming of this song:
RED is one of my favorite colors. It’s meaning to me means power, fire, …etc.
The word red comes from the Old English rēad. Further back, the word can be traced to the Proto-Germanic rauthaz and the Proto-Indo European root reudh-. In Sanskrit, the word rudhira means red or blood. In the English language, the word red is associated with the color of blood, certain flowers (e.g. roses), and ripe fruits (e.g. apples, cherries). Fire is also strongly connected, as is the sun and the sky at sunset. Healthy light-skinned people are sometimes said to have a "ruddy" complexion (as opposed to appearing pale). After the rise of socialism in the mid-19th century, red was to describe revolutionary movements
ROTO came to mind as one of the effects I like and was wanting to use on this song…
The Leslie speaker is a specially constructed amplifier/loudspeaker used to create special audio effects using the Doppler effect. Named after its inventor, Donald Leslie, it is particularly associated with the Hammond organ. The Hammond/Leslie combination is now a ubiquitous element in many genres of music ranging from 1960s organ trio hard bop to the growling, distorted tones of early 1970s acid rock. Currently both the Leslie Speakers and the Hammond Organ are owned by Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation.
SO…..maybe Powerful Speaker is the meaning of Red Roto
