Sofia Wilde

Bio:

Sofia first studied classical flute and piano before concentrating on singing. After studying Musical Theatre at New York University, she moved to London to study vocals at Vocal-tech. During her time at Vocal-tech she joined an R&B/Funk band and performed extensively across London in venues including Jazz Cafe, Bush Hall and 100 Club. Sofia then focused her attentions on Jazz studying with the highly acclaimed Jazz singer ‘Anita Wardell’. Being half Portuguese, Sofia also has a passion for Brazilian music and likes to include standards by the likes of Tom Jobim and Joyce in her repertoire. Sofia also provides backing vocals for ‘Rodina’ and is on their debut album ‘Over The Sun’, produced by Joe Tatton (New Mastersounds, The Haggis Horns and musician for Corinne Bailey Rae- Put your Records On) Rodina features exciting new talent Aoife Hearty and a host of other fantastic musicians. www.rodinamusic.com
