Okay so I am heading to Japan in August ...

I have met some great Japanese people and have heard lots of things but my actual knowledge of life in Japan and the best places to visit is limited to Lost in Translation and the fact that my brother liked Tetsuwan Atomu (or Astro Boy for those others who are fans ).

So I am putting out the call to true Japanese people to let me know what the best things are to do ??

- I am going to Osaka, Nara, Kanazawa and Tokyo - and have some time to travel to other places around those areas/// I am sure that there are ubiquitous franchise stores and things but I can go to them in any freakin city int he world so...

So ....please let me know ....
