Bio:

Hello- I'm Simon Grant and this little page at MySpace is a sample of my career collaborating with artists on many levels. Throughout the 90's and into the new millenium I have toured extensively and recorded many albums.

As a player I am most known for my drumming and electronic percussion/samples in the internationally acclaimed, yet very underground, art/groove/fusion ensemble- "Jackhammer Trio" ...as well as experimental/improv masters- "Disjunkt" ...and finally modern rock with Scream Radio.

As a producer I am known as a specialist in combining unusual elements with typical singer/songwriter works, yielding a product that is overtly artistic and organic (due to my jazz background) yet still commerically viable. Thanks to my work (and reviews) with acts like- "Awkward Star" and "James Whiton and the Downtown Apostles", I have also gained a reputation for my mixing of pop/rock music under spoken word.
