The idea of SESTA MARCONI dates back to 1999, when a group of 15 years old friends from the south of Italy set out their musical destiny. After the period of playing cover songs, in 2002 the band started creating their own music. By the end of the year they not only played live a lot, but also composed several songs, two of which ended up on their first demo, "Black Soul Star", falling stylistically between seventies hard rock and classic heavy metal with strong doom metal overtones. In September 2003 the combo relocated to Rome where they kept on playing, in spite of some problems that slowed them down for a few months. In 2004 SESTA MARCONI continued to forge new material, leaning more towards traditional doom metal. Most of those tracks went to constitue "Ritual Kamasutra Kitsch", a 30 minutes long EP released by the band in March 2008. In the 4 songs, preceded by the ironic audio-collage intro, the musicians summarized their personal exploration of the world from the last few years. The EP received some rave reviews from the metal press in Italy and abroad. In April 2009 Sesta Marconi signed a deal with italian label Metal on Metal Records. Now is now is available the new album "Where the Devil Dances" recorded between July and August. ORDER YOUR COPY! .. Are you ready to dance with devil? .. Doom'n'roll shall be the whole of the law .... L’idea Sesta Marconi risale all’ormai lontano 1999, quando un gruppo di amici allora quindicenni diede vita al proprio destino musicale. Nel 2002 la formazione si stabilizza e la band inizia a creare pezzi propri. Nel giro di un anno i Sesta, oltre a suonare molto dal vivo, compongono diverse canzoni, due delle quali finiscono sul loro primo demo “Black soul star”, a metà strada tra hard rock/seventies e classico heavy-metal con particolari riferimenti al doom. Nel settembre 2003 la band si trasferisce completamente a Roma dove continua ad esistere nonostante alcuni problemi che ne rallentano l'attività. Dal 2004 ad oggi i Sesta hanno continuato a comporre materiale che, in parte, è andato a costituire la tracklist di "Ritual Kamasutra Kitsch", un CD di trenta minuti nel quale la band ha voluto scolpire 4 canzoni che riassumessero il viaggio della band attraverso le contraddizioni del mondo, nel modo personale in cui i Sesta l’hanno vissuto negli ultimi anni. “Retrogradio” è un ironico audio-collage che introduce al viaggio in questa strana realtà di cui l’artwork è simbolo figurativo. Nell'aprile 2009 i Sesta Marconi firmano un contratto con l'italiana Metal on Metal Records. Adesso è finalmente disponibile il debutto ufficiale "Where the devil dances, registrato tra Luglio e Agosto. ORDINA LA TUA COPIA!.. Are you ready to dance with devil? .. Vanexa were one of the first Italian heavy metal band, their self-titled LP was consecrated by the national press as the first italian heavy metal album. Born in Savona in 1978, their sound was typically Anglo-Saxon evidence abroad where they were cited by several magazines as proponents of the new wave of heavy metal
band from late '70s early '80s. They also participated as a headliner at the first heavy metal festival held in Certaldo Italian in Florence May 21, 1983. In their careers have also participated in various compilations including metal of Metal Mountain, exit the United States, with the song "Hanged Man" and Metal Italy with the song "It's Over". In 2007 a CD reissue of their eponymous debut album with 3 bonus tracks and unreleased second album "Back From The Ruins" with 5 bonus tracks taken from a live concert of 1984 was released in 2010 is out "1979-80" a compilation of early material ( totally sung in italian) released on vynil and cd supports. We needed a new fresh band with a new fresh sound. VANEXA spearheaded what was termed 'the new wave of heavy metal'. They were a more than welcome addition of the italian hard rock/metal scene. Yet, this debut offering offers more energy and speed than actual accomplishment. In 1983 VANEXA released their self-titled debut album, starting what would become a legendary career for the band. They were one of many promising bands in the New Wave of Heavy Metal movement at the time. Following the success of Vanexa, the band released released their second album Back From The Ruins in 1988. The album featured fan-favourites "Midnight Wolves", "Creation", "Hanged Man". This new album contained many tracks that had been written prior to the release of the debut album, but were considered surplus. With songs already shaped on the road well in advance, only two new tracks were written for the album; Hanged Man and Creation. The band adopted a different approach for their 1994 studio album, titled Against The Sun. This was not a concept album, though it was themed loosely around the idea of social problems. It featured, for the first time in the band's history, synthesized Keyboards and guitars sounds to add textures and layers to the sound. Though considered different from the norm of Vanexa sounds, it a good response across the world, especially for new incredible voice of Roberto TIRANTI. The VANEXA lyrics contains literature quotes about famous books/movies or social problems fusioned in great heavy metal sound.
