The band performed in that area often, mostly at warehouse parties under various names. The name Schlong did not appear until sometime later, taken from the name of a cat the band saw often. They eventually released their first record in 1996, Punk Side Story, a drunken punk rock version of West Side Story, and promptly disappeared after the release. A collection of singles followed the next year, but the band was unofficially disbanded at that point, and has not appeared since the mid-'90s. ~ Bradley Torreano
