Interests

General
People, relationships, cooking, eating good food, drinking, wine, sex, music, laughing. I love crafting i.e. working with yarn (crocheting), paper, paint, wood, random objects, ink. I love an ice cold bong toke, driving, massages, a clean house, giving a receiving unexpected gifts. Having brief but unforgettable moments with total strangers, meeting someone that really changes the way I see the world for the better, being inspired by others and art and love. Soccer, lacrosse, fencing, running, dancing. Dogs, cats, all animals, science, learning, books I can't put down. Jesse coming home from school and teaching me somthing amazing about chemistry or the world or history or the way things work. I love Costa Rica, Alaska (though I have yet to go), Europe, traveling all over the world. I work as a line cook and love cooking, I love everything about food actually. Games and puzzles especially on a rainy winter day, good movies are great for that too. Random acts of kindness..and seeing people in love. Working out then taking a cold shower, but really hot showers are absolutely the best. I love remembering something or someone I haven't thought about in a really long time, discovering a good restaurant, what doesn't interest me?
Music
I love all music, ANI DIFRANCO has by far been the most influential and I think most important musical artist in my life. I love jazz, blues, folk, swing, anything that moves me really...hip hop, reggae, rap, salsa, show tunes-you name it. I love discovering musicians and hearing songs for the first time that grab me...
Movies
I love movies, especially Quentin Tarantino, Coen Brothers, and Spike Jonze movies. I like mocumentaries, independents comedy's, classics, drama, and well made action movies. I loved Dead Man Walking, Stranger than fiction, Wristcutters a love story, Adaptation, Harold and Maude, American beauty, American Psycho, and Best in show. I also really love Donnie Darko, Office Space, Rain Man, Pretty Woman, the Holiday, Hedwig and the angry inch, Indiana Jones, Edward Scissorhands, Shawshank Redemption, Total Recall, Die Hard- the first one especially, American History X, Elf, Casino, Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke, - the list goes on but those are some of my favorites.
Television
don't have it, but I do watch it when I'm house sitting for friends: I love family guy. Absolutely Fabulous, and curb your enthusiasm, and some of the food network shows. Always sunny in Philadelphia, Weeds, and The Office are also favorites.
Books
A quote by Montesquieu: "I have never known any distress that an hour's reading did not relieve." My new favorite author is Marisa De Los Santos: I highly recommend "When love walked in". I am reading the sequel to that right now: "Belong to Me". Prior to that I was reading Love, by Toni Morrison and before that was Girls- excellent book, before that was Kitchen, and before that: I know this much is true-which was beautiful! The one prior to that was Even cowgirls get the blues, also good. I read Lolita for the first time last year, I recommend it. I love Chuck Palahniuk (Choke, Lullaby, Survivor). I loved and read most of these ones over and over again: Crooked Little hearts, White Oleander, The Color Purple, What Looks Like Crazy On An Ordinary Day, She's Come Undone, The Prisoners Wife, The Heart is a Lonley Hunter, The Adventures of Hucklberry Finn, All TONI MORRISON, Maya Angelou, To Kill a Mocking Bird. PLEASE RECOMMEND BOOKS, I'M ALWAYS READING
