    The pumpkins was founded in Decmber of 1997 at Kyoto Seika University(KSU). Since then, they have played around the University and the local livehouse of Kyoto. The pumpkins consist of 4 members : Yuhei Yambe is on lead vocals and writting the almost of all songs of the band, Ryo Matsuoka is on backup vocals and the lead guitar, Daizo Yamamoto is on the acoustic guitar and Furuya Makoto is on drums. Their sound is characterize by the mellow melodies, the nostalgic words, and the intention of linking the current political situation with music. .. They celebrated their 10th universary at a performance space of KSU in Dec 2007 and also 11th universary in Dec 2008. .. They released three albums(not available). New album is now on recording(2009)... .. １９９７年京都精華大学にて結成。..当時の主な活動は京都精華大学学祭（五月祭・木野祭）でのライヴと..同大学内ワンマンライヴ。 ..主要メンバーの卒業等を経て、外部のライヴハウスやイベントに参加。..音源としては、フルレンスアルバム「ROLLER　COASTER」や、..マキシシングル「granada」（2002/06/02）を発表。..ライヴアルバム「LIVE　AT　VOX　HALL」、フリーサンプルなどがある(販売終了)。..現在は京都のライブハウスを中心に活動中。
