An Overview of the Urban Legend

NASA scientists have discovered a "missing day" in the history of the cosmos, thus proving the veracity of the account in Joshua 10 of the sun standing still! So those who circulate the claim cited below would have their correspondents believe. This urban legend has been circulating for over thirty years by word of mouth, in print, and now in e-mail chain letters. The intent of the legend is to demonstrate the absolute, literal truth of the biblical account in both Joshua 10:12-13 and 2 Kings 20:9-11 by means of a purported investigation by NASA scientists.

For all you scientists out there and for all of you who have a hard time convincing many of these individuals regarding the truth of the Bible ... here's something that apparently gives evidence of God's awesome creation and demonstrates that He is still in control.

Mr Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore, Maryland, and a consultant in the space program, relates the following development. I think one of the most amazing things that God has for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland.

They were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space, where they would be 100 years and 1000 years from now. We have to know this information, so we won't send a satellite up and have it bump into something later on during its orbits, since they're impacted by these astronomical issues. We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite, and where the planets will be, so the whole thing will not bog down.

They ran the computer measurements back and forth over the centuries and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong either with the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards. They called in the service department to check it out and they said, "What's wrong?"

Well, they found there is a day missing in space over the measurements in elapsed time. They scratched their heads and figuratively tore their hair out. They searched and searched for a solution. But after many days there was no answer to be found.

THE SUN STANDS STILL

Finally, a Christian man on the team said, "You know, one time I was in Sunday School and they talked about the sun standing still." While the others didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said, "Show us."

He got a Bible and went back to the book of Joshua, where they found a pretty ridiculous statement for anyone with "common sense." There they found the Lord saying to Joshua, "Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee." Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy and if darkness fell they would overpower them. So Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still!

That's right--"The sun stood still and the moon stayed, and hasted not to go down about a whole day!" The astronauts and scientists said, "There is the missing day!"....

They checked the computers going back into the time this text was written and found it was close, but not close enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes--not a whole day. They read the Bible and there it was "about (approximately) a day."

These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes, you'll still be in trouble 1,000 years from now. The 40 minutes had to be found, because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits.....

As the Christian employee thought about it once again, he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went backwards. The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but again they decided to check out the book and there they read these words in 2 Kings.

King Hezekiah, on his deathbed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said, "Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?" Hezekiah said, "It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees." Isaiah spoke to the Lord and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees backward !

Well, ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes! Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings make the missing day in the universe!....

Isn't it amazing? God and His Word is Truth! References: Joshua 10:8 and 12-13; and 2 Kings 20:9-11. Forward this to as many people who would think this is equally as cool.

The rebuttal and end re marks to this are no more than cover ups and lies. NASA has al ways lied about things and continues. They lied a bout Apollo 18 which really did exist. I had found of this 5 years be fore the movie came out. They al so have been building bases on Mars, and with machines, now have an atmosphere on there. Trucks, etc. have been shipped there, and now are cities there. NASA is owned and operated by Brittian and al ways has been. If you want truth, look for " iNASA " , which is the true NASA. Yes, there is a missing day for "all things are made possible".

Nasa is also lying a bout "Elenin", and "Nibiru". Both these celestial bodies are not the same.

"Elenin" was named after a Russian Astronomer "Elenin" who found it. It is noted that it is a comet. It is NOT ! a comet, perod.

"Nibiru" ( Drawf Star w/ 7 planets at the time ), 3,600 years a go came thru our solar system after being knocked out of its original space by a huge body. Nibiru came thru Mars and Jupiter. "Elenin" at the time was a moon of "Jupiter". One of the planets of "Nibiru" in its passing, HIT the moon and shattered it. The only thing was left was "The Core" of the moon. ( Remember the movie with Bruce Willis " The Core" ? ). It quickly took the same eliptical path as Nibiru. It is a head of Nibiru cause its mass is smaller.

Now,,,,today is September 16, 2011. "Elenin" is heading this way, and not one government will talk a bout it, cause all will goe in to "mass hysteria" and their would be no laws to protect no being and no beings materialistic means.

"Elenin" was 78,000 km. diameter with debri. And it to be as close to the earth ( Tiamat ) as 50,000 km. Do the math. ( BIG PROBLEM ) I do not remember what the Coma was. "Elenin" has al ready passed the Asteroid Belt and the diameter be came 180,000 km with a coma of 120,000 km.

Now, SOHO Telescope picked up the energy blast near August 31, 2011 that split " Elenin" in two and destroyed most debri and coma.

This split was cause by a nearby ship which many on the "Net" are saying the "Elenin" is a ship and not a comet. IT'S NOT EVEN A COMET, IT IS "THE CORE" of the moon of Jupiter. It is very sad that they ( on the "Net" ) do not have as much facts and work in haste to post in mistakes. I hope my children see this, and tell all, and prepare, and live. They and all have a lot to live for cause the next earth will be Paradise.

I have no job, and get only 200 a month to eat on. I have a drivers license, but no vehicle, and no money to rent a "U Haul", and it cost to much to rent.
