2005年4月結成。
HAYATO(Piano)、HIRO(Cajon)の二人で構成されるインストゥルメンタルユニット。名前の由来は左から読むとピアノ、右から読むとカホンとなる。「ピアノとカホンの二つの楽器でライブ空間をジャックする」という意味が込められている。
鍵盤と打楽器だけという非常にシンプルな構成ながらも、力強くて激しいピアノの旋律、独特な存在感をもつカホンの音色。一見全く異なった二つの楽器が見事 にマッチした演奏は、エネルギッシュかつシャープでありながらオリエンタルな匂い、「和」のテイストが散りばめられている。
まさに「ハイブリッド・インストゥルメンタル」と表現されるにふさわしい。 2009年11月、事務所 PEACE PRODUCTION inc.を構え、新レーベルPEACEFUL RECORDSを発足。 2011年1月、CMクリエイター箭内道彦氏より直々にオファーを貰い、初のCMタイアップ決定。 【ReleasE】
2008年9月に1st Album『First Contact』を発売後、2年で立て続けに5枚のオリジナルアルバムをリリースし、2011年1月現在トータル40万枚を突破。現在も全てのアルバムセールスを伸ばし続けている。
独自の音楽性によりコンピレーションアルバムにも多数参加。
ディズニーコンピ、坂本龍一氏・久石譲氏も参加のピアノコンピ、 PE'Z 10周年トリビュートアルバム、ゲーム業界最大手SQUARE ENIXコンピ、ショパン100周年コンピ等に参加し、2010年夏にはDJのDAISHI DANCEとコラボレーションアルバムをリリース。 そして国民的グループ・嵐のメンバーより熱烈コールを受けアルバム楽曲にも参加、宝塚歌劇団への楽曲提供などジャンルを超えた幅広い活動を展開。 また、ラジオのジングル製作など幅広い活動を行い、テレビやラジオ番組でも楽曲が使用され、知らずに耳にしている方も多いのではないだろうか。
ピアノジャックの音楽を一言で表すなら「百聞は一見にしかず」——この場合は「一聴」とでもいうべきか。「とにかく一度聞いて欲しい！」そう思わずにはいられない、エネルギッシュな魅力に溢れている。 【LivE】
年間150〜200本のライブを行い、圧倒的なライブパフォーマンスは観るものを惹き付ける。
2008年秋、大阪 『FM802 MINAMI WHEEL 2008』出演、入場規制。 2009年1月にフランス・カンヌ〜パリツアーを敢行。カンヌ『MIDEM』ではイベント初のアンコールがかかり、30ヶ国からオファーを受ける。5月、名古屋『ZIP-FM SAKAE SP-RING 2009』出演、入場規制。
この夏、各地大型フェスに初出演。『FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '09(Gypsy Avalon)』『RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2009 in EZO(BOHEMIAN GARDEN)』では共に昼一番での出演にも関わらず会場キャパを超えても人が集まり続け、RISINGではアンコールまで行うというイベント始まって以 来の快挙を達成。
タイ・バンコクや台湾でのフェスにも初参加し熱狂的に受け入れられる。 2010年春、初のホールワンマンライブツアー『BACK IN THE JAPAN TOUR 2010』は各地発売後5分で完売。
名古屋『ZIP-FM SAKAE SP-RING2010』・大阪『FM802 MINAMI WHEEL2010』では大トリを務め入場規制。 夏の大型フェス『SETSTOCK'10(神楽殿stage)』入場規制。
『FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’10 (ORANGE COURT)』朝一番の出演で3500人動員。
秋には『Jumpin' →JAC← Flash Tour』を敢行。春のツアーの倍の7000人を動員する。
2度の韓国でのフェスも大成功に終わる。 大舞台ばかりかと思えば、元旦から雑貨屋でインストアライブを行い、CDショップ、全国のショッピングモール、銭湯、バレエ教室の子供達や伝統芸能の神楽とも共演。
ライブパフォーマンスを実際に見て感じてもらうための、フットワークの軽さも彼らの魅力の一つである。 ジャズでもクラシックでもない、聞いた人間それぞれに違った魅力を見せてくれる全く新しいサウンド『ハイブリッド・インストゥルメンタル』→Pia-no-jaC←(ピアノジャック)。稲妻ピアノ、爆裂カホンによって世界の法則が乱れる！ ...... →Pia-no-jaC←.. The name is a combination of "piano" and "cajon", with the latter spelt backwards from the right. .... Self-taught musically, the simple unit of only keyboards and percussion has crisp and energetic sounds, blending oriental flavors with Japanese spirits. The word "hybrid" best describes their music. Needless to say their live shows are the most striking, where technique, sound and performance are all highlighted at once. .... It's neither jazz nor classical. "Hybrid Instrumental" is the word, a totally new type of music. Their one and only sound, backed by their strength of simple instrumental style going far beyond language and their inimitably unique live performances and vibrations, is clearly distinctive from others ....     これは主人公が、夜、眠りにつくときに、ふと自分がこの世界からいなくなってしまうことを考えて、悲しくな
    って泣いてしまう。
    だけど、地球の裏側に自分と同じように泣いている人がいると思うと、すこし心強くなれる。
    そんな気持ちを歌にしてみました。
    今までのSACONのギター弾き語りサウンドからガラッと方向性を変えてエレクトロニカポップなサウンドに仕上げてみました！

鍵盤と打楽器だけという非常にシンプルな構成ながらも、独学で培った重厚なサウンドは非常にエネルギッシュかつシャープでありながらオリエンタルな匂い、「和」のテイストが散りばめられている。

『ハイブリッド・インストゥルメンタル』とも言えるべき、新たな音楽がここに誕生。

ジャズでもクラシックでもない、いままで聴いたことのないジャンルのサウンド。それが→Pia-no-jaC←（ピアノジャック）である。

オンリーワンであり、オリジナリティー溢れる彼らのサウンドは歌詞がない事を武器とした言葉を超えたイメージ、パフォーマンス、空気感は他とは圧倒的に一線を画している。

08年9月発売の1st Album 『First Contact』は全く無名でありながら、発売から3ヶ月で30,000枚以上をセールス。
08年12月ヴィレッジヴァンガードで先行販売した2nd Album『EAT A CLASSIC』は発売1ヶ月で20,000枚を突破。
現在もその勢いは止まっていない。

ライブパフォーマンスでも話題を呼び、08年秋、FM802 MINAMI WHEELに出演した際には入場規制がかかり、同年11月と12月に行われた東京・青山 月見ル君想フ、大阪・梅田シャングリラでのワンマンライブはいずれもソールドアウト。
今年1月にはフランス・カンヌ〜パリツアーを敢行。カンヌ『MIDEM』ではアンコールがかかるほどの大盛況に終わり、翌日からのパリツアーも大成功に収める。

読売テレビ、毎日放送、テレビ神奈川でタイアップが決まり、音楽業界だけに留まらずファッション、CM業界にも今後の活躍が大いに期待される注目のユニットである。
