    ..Pet. the Music..., aka PEt, an alternative rock band, has won over their listening audience by being able to simultaneously bear resemblance to bands like ..The Pixies.., ..Nirvana.. and ..The Smashing Pumpkins.. . while maintaining a unique, fresh sound that, "makes you smile when your mouth doesn't want to." Their upbeat melodies and sincere lyrics will remind you of "everything you like... of your happiest day, and how you feel when you're falling in love," as is stated by PEt music fans. .... Though ..Pet. the Music... started in 2006, it's band members, individually and as a group, have acquired many years of experience. They have opened up concerts for internationally well-known bands ..Aterciopelados.., ..Kinky.., ..La Gusana Ciega.. and ..Jumbo.. . They have played in Los Angeles and Orange County venues such as The Knitting Factory, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, House of Blues, The Grove, Los Angeles Sports Arena, Fais Do Do, The Westchester and Mr. T's Bowl. ....

          Pet. the Music... An idea conceived in Los Angeles, California, 2005. A completed musical dream in the Inland Empire, California, 2008. The final product of a harmony between friends and music making. In this musical organ Alejandro “Huero” Urias’ percussions are the heart that pumps rhythm into the body. Adriana Molina’s bass guitar is the blood that flow throughout the veins. Miguel Angel Montes’ guitar, keyboards and harmonies produce the energy that stimulates color and movement. Finally, Isaim Buenrostros’ lead vocals are the soul that give life to this musical organ.

          Pet. the Music. was created as a mean to create and release. The last member to join PEt, Buenrostro, was introduced to the band at an art exhibit in Pomona, California. This meeting has proven to be a prelude to PEt’s unlimited artistic creativity. While using music as an art form to convey emotions and reach out to the listening audience, PEt integrates other types of art into the process. The PEt logo, promotional flyers, EP cover and T-shirt designs, independently recorded EPs are all designed and produced by the band.

          Pet. the Music. is currently independently recording their self-titled album, expected to be completed by the end of 2009. This album will be the result of exploring music without rules, standards, and limitations. Keeping music and lyrics sincere and simple, PEt hopes to “envelope (their audience) in the sound... (keeping them) smiling drunk beneath the waves of harmony,” as is declared in their selftitled song. PEt plans to explore and experiment with musical tools, their musical knowledge and harmonic and melodic structures. PEt currently performs in Southern California venues, however, they have successfully been able to use the Internet to reach listeners worldwide.

          Though Pet. the Music. started in 2006, it’s band members, individually and as a group, have acquired many years of experience.
