.. .. Pellucid Error represents the fevered imagination of a single individual, Matt Jefferson. Jefferson is the brain, the heart, and the voice behind the otherworldly sonic landscapes of A Soul Evolution, an album that crosses the alien electronic pulse of Radiohead, the wide-screen rock of the Smashing Pumpkins, and the reflective gloom of Pink Floyd. .. .. Formerly based in Colorado, Pellucid Error has has received rave reviews from critics worldwide. According to Adam Harrington from the U.K.-based Whisperin & Hollerin, A Soul Evolution "has a surprising amount of real emotion and solid musical arranging." Kyrby Raine from Shotgun Reviews gushed that Pellucid Error "walks on that delicate tightrope between progressive and accessible...some really ethereal landscapes here." .. .. The genesis of Pellucid Error reaches back to Jefferson's childhood. At the age of six, Jefferson began learning how to play piano with the help of his grandmother. He would eventually switch to an electric guitar, an old Martin that once belonged to his grandfather, and Jefferson still uses it today. With his new instrument, Jefferson started to develop a deeper awareness in creating music, learning to experiment with various genres. Jefferson then formed the four-piece rock group Pellucid, playing numerous regional shows. However, when Jefferson relocated, he had to disband Pellucid. .. .. Nevertheless, Jefferson wasn't about his abandon his passion or vision. On his own, he began working on the songs that would appear on his first album. Changing the original name to Pellucid Error, Jefferson found himself reflected in the transcendent compositions of A Soul Evolution. .. .. The debut album was fairly quickly re-vamped, and re-released with the addition of two new bonus tracks and a new look. The re-released album is available everywhere online. .. ..
