This is just a Brief biog history of my roots and development as a Being/Drummer/vocalist/ Songwriter & Producer, I have left out production album gig list for now to keep it as simple as possible: - - Born in Islington London to Gilli Smyth and Daevid Allen from the famous 60's and 70's psycadelic fusion bands - "The Soft Machine and psychedelic superband- Gong." brought up in Deia Majorca on the Balearic islands from 3 months to 7 years old, then travelled through Nth America while my parents toured with Gong. I took a deep love of the stage and music from a very early age. Landing in Australia at thirteen, I started my conservative music education, studying jazz improvisation theory and composition first with a private teacher then at Box Hill College of music. I have been on tours with various bands since: Earth reggae, Dubtrix, Dread affair, Carlos X Panguana, Kobya, Curried Grooves, Nathan kaye, Chillum, Kundalini Collective, Gong, MotherGong, Last man Standing, Daevid Allens University of Errors, Deya Dova, supporting major international acts- Steel Pulse, Maxi Priest, Lucky Dube, The Wailers, Violent Femmes, Polyphonic Spree, I eventually landed on the Nth coast of Australia, there with bass player Tone Wonderland and sitar player Peter Davidian Allen we formed Curried grooves which we then went on to perform at various electronic dance partys , I then got heavily into Taoist Kung fu with Tao wu hsin master (Abbot) Wolf Attiig and Nei Dan chi kung with master Li as well as Music production and engineering, building Flamedog pre-production film and sound design studios and learning about acoustic sound dimension with Damien Delano Davis. I then, in 2001 met Antara Decker and produced Breathe album alongside good friend Darragh brady aka Da Ra of Kusha deep UK and continued on to produce I am your Egg and Short Tales and Tall by Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth, local Youth Project Hip Hop album – the Dynamix of Rapture and 2 albums with local Legendary drummer and percussionist Greg Sheehan. The CD Living midnight was just finished when I then went from Brighton UK to Venezuela with awesome graphic artist Navarina Falagiani and lived in Caracas with her family and around the Caribbean for a year which was a huge influence on my playing, pilgrimage of the Voodoo drum, Choroni on the coast of Venezuela being a particular inspiration. I came back to Oz and in 2010 started Flamedog Records as both a professionally personal and family artistic outlet. Since then I went back to working the land part-time and produced a CD with NO DRUMS on it...hehehe called Brave New World a sweeping ambient cinematic concept album based on the book by Aldous Huxely. This I wanted to incorporate classical Composition (which is our true history) with modern musical concepts. I LOVE TO SING as well as performing live ROCKIN KICK ASS BLOCKROCKIN PSYCADELIC BEATS, SOARING THE HEIGHTS ON ME FENDER SQUIRE jAMMIN wid MCS DJS....MIXING IT UP WID FUNK psychedelic ROCK, ELECTROFUNK, FUNKIN THE HOUSE dj STYLES GETTING THE LADYS SHAKIN IT UP......HIP HOP has been a very big influence AS i WAS RUNNING A MUCK, SPRAYING TRAINS AND YARDS WID GRAF ART AND CREWs FROM ages12-15, WHICH BOUGHT ME INTO HIPHOP STREET CULTURE....Now its all about fusing and forging!
