.. .. ..Alaska's Tundra Trash Radio~The Last Frontier Of Rock.. .. Tundra Trash Radio is not a commercial radio station playing commercial music. This is an independent station broadcasting from the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. While we do play the occasional "labeled" artist, that is not our primary focus. .. We believe commercial radio is in a sorry state these days with large corporations playing "music for the masses" leaving independent and local acts with no possibility of any airplay. Whether recorded in a home studio or in a professional studio, bands spend thousands of dollars and countless hours recording their songs, not to mention the hours writing them in the first place. So much time and money, out of their own pockets for amazing music!! .. We believe we need to support independent artists to help restore balance and possibly even integrity back into the music industry at large. We want to help those artists be heard. Independent music is the heart and soul of creativity. It needs all the support it can get and since we are not a commercial station, we have the freedom to play the music that we believe in. We think that rocks harder! .. There is no way we can compete with the big radio stations. However, If you like our music and believe it's worthy of wider attention, you can make a huge difference in helping us reach a wider audience. Tundra Trash Radio was voted Best Metal Station for 2004, is a Live 365 "Editor's Pick" station, and was also selected for inclusion on iTunes in the Radio Section/Hard Rock & Metal. .. THEY TOTALLY LOVED THE MUSIC AND THE IDEA OF A STATION PLAYING INDEPENDENT ARTISTS! HE WROTE ME THAT THE BANDS BLEW HIM AWAY! .. Being on iTunes soared this station to the top and my beloved bands were FUCKING HEARD! Finally. .. HOWEVER, as of March 12th, 2007, our wonderful (cough) streaming provider, Live365.com decided to remove all of their non-professional tier streams, who couldn"t afford', the $300 plus per month Pro Broadcasting fees, like this station, AND although they had NOTHING to do with iTunes asking this station to join iTunes! ..They just took this station and made it, despite protests from iTunes listeners...no more iTunes! .. ,They did try to say it was due to the "Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) issuing significantly higher new royalty rates for Internet radio for the 2006-2010 period." And... The CRB’s determination did imperil small and large webcasters alike and STILL threatens the listening experience of millions of Internet radio listeners, I just couldn't afford to keep up, I am so sorry! .. Alaska's Tundra Trash Radio~The Last Frontier Of Rock

Tundra Trash Radio is not a commercial radio station playing commercial music. This is an independent station broadcasting from the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. While we do play the occasional "labeled" artist, that is not our primary focus.

We believe commercial radio is in a sorry state these days with large corporations playing "music for the masses" leaving independent and local acts with no possibility of any airplay. Whether recorded in a home studio or in a professional studio, bands spend thousands of dollars and countless hours recording their songs, not to mention the hours writing them in the first place. So much time and money, out of their own pockets for amazing music!!

We believe we need to support independent artists to help restore balance and possibly even integrity back into the music industry at large. We want to help those artists be heard. Independent music is the heart and soul of creativity. It needs all the support it can get and since we are not a commercial station, we have the freedom to play the music that we believe in. We think that rocks harder!

Tundra Trash Radio was voted Best Metal Station for 2004, is a Live 365 "Editor's Pick" station, and was also selected for inclusion on iTunes in the Radio Section/Hard Rock & Metal. You'll only hear tunes that meet my personal QUALITY head banging checks. If it doesn't work for me, I won't bother putting it on the station.

Streaming provider Live365 will be removing all of their non-professional tier streams, including Tundra Trash Radio, from the iTunes radio directory as of March 12th, 2007. This is due to the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) issuing significantly higher new royalty rates for Internet radio for the 2006-2010 period. The CRB’s determination imperils small and large webcasters alike and threatens the listening experience of millions of Internet radio listeners.
