.Narrowhead was formed in the fall of 2000 in Bergen, Norway by Jan Flatlandsmo (bass), Morten Egeland (vocals& rhythm guitar), Dag Kjetil Baakind (lead guitar& backing vocals) and Arne Olav Holm (drums). The band started off by playing both cover songs and originals but have in the last few years concentrated on making our own sound and songs. Every band-member has their own musical "heroes", but all have the rock-world of the seventies and eighties in common; from Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Kiss and Guns n' Roses to Yes, David Bowie and Queen to name a few. Being a guitar-based band, with recognizable melodies and harmonies and a hard hitting rhythm-section sums up Narrowhead's music as a cross between the grooves of the seventies and the melodies of the sixties, wrapped in the sound of today's radio-music…..maybe.....
