  • Bio

NameSake derives its' name from the fact that all the members bear their father's name, hails from Charlotte, NC via Atlanta, GA and Saratoga Springs, NY. NameSake was formed four years ago, with the founding members playing together since age 14. The band's lead vocalist is Will Crafton, with Troy Harmon and Brad Wagner on guitars, and Kevin Nordeste on drums. NameSake creates an exciting blend of rock and pop to produce a driving sound that is both fresh and compelling. Of their style, Will says, "The heart of our music is loud in-your-face guitar with catchy hooks and pop melodies." With their recent signing to Imagen Records, the guys are very excited about the new label and the direction of the album. Imagen brought in famed record producer James Paul Wisner (Paramore, New Found Glory, Underoath) to produce the record. The Full length CD is named "Borders & Fences" is set for release in the Spring of 2011. Brad says, "We're having a great time, the way we feel now and the way we're living greatly influences the music we're making." With NameSake's drive and love for music, the band has written new songs and arrangements that have very broad appeal. On the new album, themes of high school heartbreak and adolescent self-recognition underscore the band's ground breaking sound and crowd pleasing energy. NameSake plans to set out on their first nationwide tour this year to support the upcoming CD. NameSake looks forward to adding to its already growing fan base across the country
