I am among all men, most richly blessed."​​ ​​ ​​ ​ ​ ​​Composed by an anonymous Confederate veteran as it appeared in presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson's Christmas card of 1954 and ​​quoted in a newspaper clipping dated November 18, 1955, folded in a book I bought at a church sale in 1999.​​ ​ ​

        thanks for sharing my husband is a retired vet served 21 yrs in the army he retired in 1998 we both miss the military life it was a great life and a big change when we got out to adjust to not moving and losing our military friends whom i must say are great .take care enjoy your saturday and sunday hugss sophie
