This afternoon I spoke with Etta James' manager who released the following statement:
"Blues Legend Etta James in being treated in a California hospital after suffering from various ailments. At this time her condition is of great concern to her children as they continue to find the proper medical treatment for their mother.
Mrs. James, her family and her band would like to thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers. We will continue to keep you updated on her condition as information is released."
