Mr. Swift

On May 8th 1984, Robert Casanas A.K.A Mr. Swift was born in the big city of dreams (Manhattan). Swift grew up having a lot of time to himself. His father left before he turned 3 and his mother was forced to work long hours to pick up the slack. Swift slowly became close with the streets and before he knew it found himself hanging with "The Wrong Crowd". When asked about this time in his life, Swift calmly answers "I'm not proud of everything I have done in my life, but it is what made me who I am today." Swift always had a passion for music and grew up listening to some of his biggest influences (UGK, Do or Die, Devin Tha Dude, Marvin Gaye) and was nick named "The Ear" from an early age due to the fact he was able to tell who was going to succeed and who was going to fail in the music industry after only hearing them once or twice. Incredibly he was right a lot more then he was wrong which gave him instant credibility when he decided to start writing and become a rapper.

At age 13 he decided he wanted to take his music to the next level so he was forced to hustle in order to get the equipment needed to start his own in house studio. Once he got his studio up and running he decided to officially say goodbye to what he called home for most of his life (the streets), and say hello to his new home (the lab). The rest is history. In 2003 he linked up with Stephen Michael who was fresh off his R&B group break up and formed the "AUDEO WRITING TEAM" which is under Lava Music Group". They later went on to co-write the smash single "My Girl Got A Girlfriend" featuring Snoop Dogg, Bobby Valentino, and Mams Taylor. With Stephen's Gift with the pen, and Swift's gift with the ear, they have trouble making anything besides hits.

Mr. Swift has developed into one of the best lyricists and is close to becoming an every day household name. You will never catch Swift talking himself up even though he has been called by many industry professionals as having the "IT" factor.
