Welcome to the UK MONORAL Street Team Myspace.
Our function is to promote and support the wonderful band MONORAL. Please feel free to add us to your friends list and keep in touch!
..ABOUT MONORAL..
MONORAL began in 1999 in Tokyo Japan. Formed soon after the meeting of two core founding members Anis (vocals) and Ali (bass) ventured forth into the heady Japanese music scene to produce their own music. Their first release In Stereo which featured the song Goodbye made waves in the indies scene.
MONORAL's second release the critically acclaimed mini-album Ammonite spent a record number of weeks in the indies chart before Petrol the album that spawned the hit Like You appeared.
There was little time for a break since the band now were picking up speed and a loyal supportive fanbase. The album Turbulence followed a year after from which the songs Kiri, Tuesday and VISIONS IN MY HEAD appeared. The former song featured as the theme song for the sci-fi anime Ergo Proxy.
2008 brought MONORAL fans to a frenzy with the iTunes exclusive release of Arabian Metal inspired Casbah followed by SAFIRA. However these two songs were only a teaser for the main event. The release of MONORAL's latest album Via lifted the band to new heights of popularity and allowed them to embark on their first World tour! Now MONORAL continue onwards with the release of their latest single 70 HOURS with the promise of a new album to be released in 2010.
ABOUT MONORAL'S MUSIC
MONORAL's music takes in many different styles mixing rock, pop and post grunge elements with unique elements that blend together effortlessly to produce truly magical tunes.
MONORAL's lyrics are written and performed almost exclusively in flawless English. Supported by talented support members, MONORAL produces knockout live shows that are famous throughout Japan for their intensity, fun and electric atmosphere. Most listeners are completely oblivious to the bands' Japanese origins just by listening.
Music is a universal voice that crosses boundaries and language barriers and it's a mark of MONORAL's universal appeal that so many fans from all over the world unite together in friendship and mutual love of their music.
