In the beginning there was Shite! Then, from the unholy doorstep of Captain Birdseyes grandma came a bolt of dark lightning so black that God cried a tear of milk and formed the White sea. Out of this sea crawled five black assassins of Rock that bore the name MINCE!........ Clad only in the unholy armour of Gorgothamong the ruler of the Metalvoid, they travelled the Mortalverse in search of the powerstone of Dominoth so they could forge the black instruments and create the living form of sound we now know as Metal! Each of them were granted a power to uphold the seething black darkness of Rock and granted names of such unspeakable foulness that old women would fall to their knees and eat worms at the mere mention of them. Beware humans, for I am about to reveal the names and reading further could make your eyes bleed gravy.................. ZIP HAVOC: Blessed with the vocal range of a thousand walrus's. His voice soars like an eagle then divebombs screaming furious black death like a giant napalm attack on a field of pigs.............. RIFF RICKENBACKER: Plays his foul bass like a Howitzer. The first one is a poster from a gig in Newcastle Upon TYNE in the U.K. at FAT SAMS Rock bar and grill on Tuesday 6th July 1993 during a small reunion tour called (once again) METAL UP YOUR KETTLE! * ...... * This second poster is for a Christmas gig at the same venue FAT SAMS on Monday 20th December 1993. This was the legendary gig where MINCE actually built a castle around the stage and they performed WOLF OF METAL for the very first time. * ...... * The third poster was also for the Christmas gig but featured a photo of Zip Havocs Grandfather ERIC HAVOC in his days in the ahead of their time metal band of the 40's HOLY MOSES!

The purest METAL in the universe. ...... * ...... * When class 4B of Moorside Comprehensive School wrote in to Sir Jimmy Saville on BBC tv's JIM'LL FIX IT in 1982 asking if Jim could fix it for them so they could listen to the best Rock album ever made, he couldn't decide between giving them either FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF METAL or POSEIDONS TRIDENT both by the mighty MINCE! * ...... * This was a particularly great moment for MINCE when in 1981 on Noel Edmonds MULTI COLOURED SWAP SHOP a young boy from Newcastle Upon Tyne by the name of Alan Shearer wanted to swap a finger puppet for MINCE's Welcome to the church of metal E.P. * ...... * MINCE got into a bit of trouble in 1979 when it was revealed on John Craven's NEWSROUND that MINCE bass player RIFF RICKENBACKER had been identified as one of the vandals who had wrecked the BLUE PETER GARDEN at BBC television centre. Others named were Bernie Clifton and the Krankies. RIFF stated that they had all been so drunk after a recording of The Two Ronnies Christmas Show that it could have gotten a lot worse. * ...... * Imagine our delight when the 1978 METAL UP YOUR KETTLE TOUR rolled into Morecambe in the U.K. and we were greeted outside our hotel by our fantastic groupies THE MINCE VIXENS. Let's just say that the band had 'FISH' for their tea that night I can tell you! Incidentally this photo had to be taken again as when we first got there some of the girls were in the wrong places and it said MINERCOCK.*
