Lostage were formed in 2001 by brothers Takahisa Gomi (vocals, bass) and Takuto Gomi (guitar) in Nara, Japan.
They recruited Masaya Shimizu (guitar) and Tomokazu Iwaki (drums) and fashioned an aggressive and abrasive sound that was a throwback to '90s alternative rock. By the time Shimizu left Lostage in 2007, they had already released two albums -- Play with Isolation (2006) and Drama (2007). Hiromichi Nakano replaced Shimizu in 2008. ~ Katherine Fulton
