Lizhard is a Hard Rock band from Italy. It all starts in a small town called Rescaldina near Milan, around 1995 when Luca “Ze” Moroni (bass) asks Ricky Lecchini (drums) to form a band called “Lego” (in a few years he decides to change the band’s name into Lizhard, a joke between the ex-singer’s name Liza and the genre they play). Beginning as a cover band, they play a lots of hard rock hits for many years during their live shows in northern Italy and Switzerland. Thanks to their born-out friendship transmitted during their power shows and the captivating voice of Luke Marsilio, the band is soon appreciated by the audience. So they decide to start writing their own music. The band arranges their songs trying to preserve the sounds and the warmth of 80’s and 90’s classic hard rock. In June 2008 they finish the recordings of their first self titled full length album. During the first months of 2008 they open for former Mr.Big singer Eric Martin & Twin Dragons, getting great feedback from audience and critics. After few months they ink a deal with the well-known Label Perris Records for a worldwide release of the album on October 7th 2008. The album has been co-produced, mixed and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio, musician known worldwide for his collaborations with acts like Edge Of Forever, Moonstone Project, Glenn Hughes, Ian Paice, Jeff Scott Soto, Axe and many others. …the rest is written in their music and on their website.

イタリアのハードロックバンド、LIZHARD。それは、Rescaldina (レスカルディナ) というミラノにほど近い小さな町からすべてが始まる。 1995年頃、Luca ”Ze” Moroni (bass) は Ricky Lecchini (drums) に「Lego」（数年後に、前のボーカル Liza の名前と彼らが演奏する Hard Rock とを組合わせて Lizhard に改名）というバンドを作ろうと話をもちかける。　そして北イタリアとスイスで何年もハードロックのヒット曲をライブ演奏。彼らのパワフルなショーと Luke Marsilio (vocal) の魅惑的な声は観客の友好的な支持を得、瞬く間に歓迎される存在となる。そこで彼ら自身の音楽を書き始めることを決意する。2005年に、イタリアのギタープレイヤー Alberto Colombo の、あるレーベルとの契約のおかげで、｢Sexy Lolita」というすべてイタリア語で5トラック EP をレコーディング。ところがそれは彼らの意図とは違っていた。さらに Paul Mainetti (guitars) がバンドに加わると、彼らはすぐに本来のハードロックに戻り、Luca ”Ze” Moroni が書く新しい素材に取り組み始める。そして80年代や90年代のクラシックハードロックの持つサウンドと暖かさを保ちながらアレンジしていくことになる。 2008年6月 LIZHARD は最初のセルフタイトルアルバムのレコーディングを完了。同年の年明けのころ、彼らは Mr.BiG を結成した singer Eric Martin と Twin Dragons のステージに出演して実力を披露する。そこで観客と批評家たちから多大なフィードバックを得る。数ヵ月後の2008年10月7日にアルバムの世界各国発売に向けて、大手音楽レーベル Perris Records との契約にサイン。このアルバムは、Edge Of Forever、Moonstone Project や Glenn Hughes、Ian Paice、Jeff Scott Soto、Axe など多くのミュージシャンとのコラボレーションで世界的に有名な Alessandro Del Vecchio の共同製作により、ミキシングおよびマスター化される。そして、LIZHARD の音楽や彼らのウェブサイトにあるとおりの現在に至る。
