  • **Please Support The Haiti Appeal Party**

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick blog to say I hope you all come and support this amazing event in support of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

It looks set to be the party of the year with the kind of line up most promoters could only dream of assembling if all the artists were not donating their services.

And the cause could not be more deserving - The people of Haiti have lost everything, and are going through an unbelievable amount of suffering at the moment, so lets so what we can to give them some hope.

    See you all there!

    Big Buddha Blessings!!!

  • ****FEARSOME ENGINE'S DEBUT ALBUM 'BITING POINT' STORMS ONTO THE SCENE!*****

    NANO RECORDS PRESENTS

    BITING POINT

The Debut Album from Fearsome Engine

Long awaited and very much eagerly anticipated comes the roaring talents of Laughing Buddha and Tristan… unified, synchronised and coalesced into one growling, howling, snarling beast…… make way for the Fearsome Engine… it’s charging towards a dance-floor near you… and it bites!!

This album finds it’s feet (and the pace) with confident ease, as it slips, slides and rolls eloquently into the groove…right from the onset. It’s a rapidly ensuing feeling that it won’t be a case of whether or not you like this album but how much you like it?

Laughing Buddha (Jeremy Van Kampen) is well established as a fine recording artist and live act who performs regularly on the ever growing Global Psychedelic Trance circuit and who is, without doubt, one of the finest ‘trance-floor conjurers’ currently working their magic on the International stage.

And he always does it with a smile…. a Cheshire grin even…that’s why he’s the Laughing Buddha!

Tristan is no slacker either, with a distinguished Dj’ing career behind him and a sizeable portfolio of pedigree production works to his name, including an album or two, a plethora of reputable released material and numerous collaborations, he is still reaching for the stars… he may just get there too!

As partnerships go, this doesn’t seem to be a bad one! The boys have definitely found a frequency from which they can broadcast their thunderous bass-lines and modulated, syncopated rhythms.

Clearly, much time and thought has been given to the creation of this album; there are no clichéd production formulas being employed here and the result is evocative, innovative and dynamic.

This is cutting-edge music that positively glides and effervesces it’s way through the sonic spectrum as it gently assails your yielding sound reception portals (that’s yer ears!) and opens the inter-dimensional doorway between your brain and your body…the usual outcome of which often entails ‘shaking a leg’!

‘Biting Point’ is a delightful paradox of clean-cut ‘dirty’ techno, boasting spiralling industrial melodies and multi-layered harmonic conspiracies, ceaselessly woven within a tonal unifying tapestry of trance.

The all-important ‘bottom end’ is well taken care of by the Fearsome Engine… no black holes here!

And it’s consistently solid throughout, so higher frequencies float effortlessly on a river of velvet bass,

swirling, gyrating and oscillating in the resonant kaleidoscopic sound generator that is the Fearsome Engine, as they put the pedal to the metal, you may want to strap yourself in…it’s a quite a ride!

Every track on this album, without exception, expresses beautifully the two, seemingly opposing musical virtues of swing and drive, which, when present in equal measure, as they are here, demonstrate the fundamental and principal hallmark of great trance music… made to move the masses!

You can really hear, feel and sense the craftsmanship that’s gone into this production. No expense has been spared in realizing the final product as nothing short of impeccable. This is an exceptional debut from an act that will undoubtedly go from strength to strength and render many a satisfied dance-floor!

Punchy, precise and present is the overall outcome of an album that doesn’t proclaim it’s brilliance, brashly from the roof-tops, but arrives instead by stealth and guile to surprise you with a smile!
