    La Kinky Beat, is a Barcelona band who emerged in 2003 as a result of the union of multi-influenced musicians and it rapidly became a reference in the mestizo style. The group, consisting of the original foundation members (Chalart 58, Willy Fuego and Mata), has been, since the very beginning, an open field for other musicians, such Madjid Fahem, David Bourguignon, Rude MC Italiano, Manel Cabello or GZK, to develop musical ways and languages that have brought the band to a constant investigation and change. La Kinky Beat's debut album Made in Barna (2004) incorporated sounds of rocksteady, reggae and punk, and it was praised by both, critics and audiences, bringing the band to a massive tour around Europe. It was during this hard-work period that the band released the remixes album RMX Made in Barna (2005). In recording their following work, ironically called One More Time (2006), the band introduces drum and bass echoes and reinforces the electronic sections. This work was backed again by a tour around Europe, including festivals such Glastonbury, and the release of the compilation 04-06 (2007) in Mexico, supporting the exhausting "One More No Sponsors Tour" around South America (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia…) Continuing their electronic research, the band drops their third album Karate Beat (2008) where break beat and jungle rhythms meet their original reggae and punk rock style. For the first time, the "Karate Tour" brings the band to Eastern Europe, collecting the best reviews with their powerful show. La Kinky Beat, es una banda de Barcelona que nace en el 2003 como resultado de la unión de varios músicos de diferentes influencias y que rápido se convirtió en un claro referente internacional del sonido mestizo. El grupo, formado por sus fundadores originales (Chalart 58, Willy Fuego y Mata), ha sido, desde el principio, un espacio abierto para todo tipo de músicos, como Madjid Fahem, David Bourguignon, Rude MC Italiano, Manel Cabello o GZK, donde poder investigar ideas y lenguajes que han llevado a la banda a una constante reinvención.
El album de presentación de La Kinky Beat, Made in Barna (2004) incorpora sonidos rocksteady, reggae y punk, y fue elogiado tanto por la crítica como por el público, llevando a la banda a un gigantesco tour por toda Europa. Durante este periodo el grupo lanza el disco de remixes RMX Made in Barna (2005). Para el siguiente trabajo, llamado irónicamente One More Time (2006), la formación decide introducir ecos de drum and bass y refuerza la presencia de programación electrónica. Este trabajo, fue respaldado por una gira europea, incluyendo festivales como Glastonbury, y el lanzamiento de la recopilación 04-06 (2007) en México, también acompañado por la gira suramericana “One More No Sponsors Tour” (Brasil, México, Colombia…). Continuando con su nueva vertiente electrónica, la banda publica Karate Beat (2008) donde el break beat y el jungle se mezclan con los estilo reggae y punk rock, originales de la banda. El álbum recibe el premio UFI 2009 por el Mejor Disco del año de Música Urbana. Por primera vez, la gira “Karate Tour” les lleva a los países del este de Europa, recogiendo las mejores críticas por su espectacular y potente directo.
Este 2011, La Kinky Beat lanza su cuarto álbum de estudio Massive Underground (2011) llevando a cabo una nueva transformación que funde su lenguaje original, como el drum and bass y el reggae, con el filtro dub de Chalart 58, y presentará, aparte de la formación habitual para la gira general, un formato especial, más reducido, para poder llevar a cabo sesiones dub.
